Optimus hoped that his lesson would be practiced more before being put into a real world application. The last thing he would want would be for Bumblebee to get over confident in new things, and find himself injured because of it. What he had been doing was working out well for him... alas; it was no use worrying over it. The scout was clever and adapted well. Just like a change in the battlefield's layout, Optimus had to have confidence he would approach the challenge head on, and adapt.
Because of this, he said nothing to remind of this fact, allowing the young scout to share what he had been doing previously, and reveal that Raf was still around in the upper levels doing homework. The tiny human meant a lot to Bee, that was easy to see, and the fact he allowed him to get his homework done undisturbed, despite likely wanting to play games and do things, was a good show of maturity. Bee could disrupt Raf so easily, and pester with questions, derailing the young human's schoolwork enough that issues could arise, but that was no concern it seemed.
As Bumblebee opted to depart to check in on his companion, Optimus' helm rose a bit in some confusion when the salute was thrown his way. As always, salutes seemed so formal, so odd to him. Sometimes they were needed in a way, others it just felt overly formal. To dismiss it in a passive means, he simply dipped his helm slightly.
"You are welcome, I am glad I could assist."
Watching the other Cybertronian depart, Optimus eased into the new found silence that filled the area. Distant footfalls vanishing down the hall, a quiet stillness returning that allowed the subtle workings of the base to be audible once again... it was a notable change, and the Prime peered upon the doorway only a moment longer, before he shifted his weight into a slow walk that pulled him further away from the door.
Settling down against the far wall, Optimus eased into a gradual sit, looping his forearms up and over the caps of his knee guards. He seemed to relax then, helm canted forward a bit, shoulders draping down, allowing his thoughts to try to settle in the moment, and find peace. He would enjoy what little quiet he could in what little time may be left.
