“Yes. Quite.”
He mumbled this, even if the comment about Starscream wasn’t technically directed at him. Though, for all the gripes he had about their Lord, he did somehow keep things running even despite things seemingly working against them all at times. Energon was in excess, some of the more important equipment had been salvaged from the Nemesis - okay, not all, but enough to get by, plus he was far nicer than Megatron.
Though, that wasn’t hard.
At the slight jab about commentary, he would tsk.
“Again, my apologies for that. I ah- did not realize the circumstances surrounding them. I can get them smoothed and patched up while you…” he tapered off. Wait…
Starscream had said he could get her an altmode?
“Well, I suppose I can give you access to what the humans call the World Wide Web. You can browse all manner of jets and planes and find one that catches your eye. Then it’s just a matter of finding one of that make out in the wild. Far easier than it sounds, given humans seem to just leave them parked wherever. Though maybe you'll get lucky and see one flying around!”
Okay, it probably wasn’t as easy as it sounded even if the flippant handwave that paired with the words showed otherwise. They’d have to watch out for cameras and humans in general depending on the location of said vehicle - but usually getting an altmode wasn’t exactly a chore. Everyone had to do it, after all, and as far as he was aware? Nobody had run into any sort of issue.
He watched as Breakdown left the room, optics narrowing into a gentle frown. He paid it no real mind aside from the initial look, though made a mental note to check in with the other mech later should he not return.
With a light shrug, he would move to pick up a datapad. A few button taps later and he found himself staring at a database filled with pictures of various jets and planes. Some looked downright ridiculous - and he could only hope that Coldwind had some sort of taste.
Humming softly in approval once it appeared he had the correct site, he would offer the device to Coldwind.
“Here, take this - as my assistant has left the room, I will sort out those welding lines for you while you peruse what the humans have to offer.”
He hoped his earlier apology and the fact he’d been nothing but polite would at least give him some favor with the femme, should he ever need it. With ties to Starscream she had obviously done something right, and he didn’t exactly want to stay on her bad side.
