Blue had never felt Bladewing this angry and hurt. It was a completely new and also disturbing side of his host. It also seemed to cloud his judgement, so that Blue had to concentrate on being a voice of reason within the other's mind.
However, since the flight through the portal wasn't an option anymore, he would be much more useful as a weapon. He pinged Bladewing this option and a moment later the seeker performed a quick transformation ending up with Blue in his weapon form attached to Bladewing's fuselage. He quickly rotated, so his barrel was pointing backwards, as he started to charge himself. He concentrated on his surroundings making himself ready to fire as soon as their pursuer came into view, in order to deny them the option of firing first.
Coldwind approached fast, hounding the fugitive Seeker through the tunnels relentlessly. She seemed to stop at nothing, and despite her size, retained a terrible speed throughout her pursuit. Soundwave could have scarcely found a more starved or motivated lapdog to do his bidding. In these mortal instants, it became clear why Starscream surrounded himself with such useful pawns all those years ago.
The serpentine cave twisted and turned onward, but it would not go on forever. Coldwind needed to capture and destroy her mark fast. Every opportunity the blue Seeker got, she increased her speed, and eventually, that was enough. With Bladewing dead ahead, she had mere moments to note the odd weaponry on his fuselage.
That blasted Minicon. It would very likely get the chance fire before she could utilize her vehicle mode's weaponry. Not to mention, air-to-air missiles in confined spaces could spell doom for everybody in the mine. She, Soundwave, Blue, and Bladewing. They were all at risk the moment she fired. This put her in a bind, forcing a more creative solution.
::Soundwave, open a bridge back to the main room on these coordinates.:: She pinged the Spymaster over their private frequency, sending a location marked towards the end of her and Bladewing's current trajectory. If the fugitive would not stay still, she would coax it out of him.
Then the femme swapped channels to an open frequency, ready for the oncoming fire which Bladewing's Minicon companion would no doubt unleash.
::Such foolishness ill befits a Seeker. Soundwave was right to order your termination.::
Coldwind spoke with a threatening tone, but her words were short and hasty. She had only so much time to speak before Bladewing and his little minion aimed their shot.
Bladewing heard the echoes of their pursuer's engines getting louder, they were at an advantage, due to the known terrain. But he couldn't get faster without risking to miss too many details regarding his surroundings. He needed to stay focused in order to not get lost. He did however ping Blue with the info of their pursuer catching up.
When they crossed a small cave he could see the other seeker for the first time. He could feel his symbiont's nervousness skyrocket as the other seeker came into view. They were at a disadvantage since Blue was the only weapon that could shoot someone behind him. But due to the fact that Blue needed to charge himself between his shots they only had one try before their pursuer would be able to get a lock on him. So what to do? Try to evade until they were out of the mine or attack using the space of the cave? He prompted Blue to fire as soon as he had a lock. He would decide when he saw if the nullray shot hit and what effect it had.
::I'm more seeker than you, traitor. I should have expected Soundwave to betray Lord Starscream. But a seeker?:: His reply via the same open frequency was dripping with loath. Before finding a quite colorful Vosnian insult for her, while Blue fired his shot. The nullray had been fully charged so hopefully it would at least disrupt her sensors, forcing her to slow down.
::Soundwave, open a bridge back to the main room on these coordinates.::
The navy and black mech eased gently to a halt in his walk upon Coldwind's request, a soft grit heard of loose gravel and pulverized stone beneath his peds. Despite the fact that the other three were far out of his range, and were even further out of his range of sight, he would ease his helm and upper torso around to look back in the direction of the main cavern. Yet, this was it. No further action was made, his visor not illuminating in any way to indicate he was following the Lieutenant's directive.
Was Coldwind admitting weakness? That she needs 'help' so very quickly mere moments into the brawl? He thought her pride was higher than that. The thrill of the chase, the thrill of the hunt... Was she so starved for shed Energon that she would resort to using others to cripple her targets to let her sink her metaphorical teeth in? The trouble here was, Soundwave frankly did not care to help at this juncture. This was a trial for Coldwind just as much an attempt on Blade and Blue's lives.
This was her test.
With a gentle rock of weight, Soundwave turned back to aim in the direction he had been walking, his helm lifting and rocking to the other side in what looked like a roll of the optics. It was an action reserved for times like these, when others were not privy to his more transparent thoughts on the matter. Once getting back into motion, he continued to not rush, nor act as though there was a real threat they could veer onto this path and be on a collision course for him. He kept an 'ear' out to the distant rumbles of engines, pausing only when he heard a weapon discharge.
Another crook of the helm as if turning to look behind him... Soundwave did not ease his entire frame to literally see what was in his wake as he had previously, though he did take note a weapon of some type had been shot. He couldn't place the exact TYPE however, though he had his guesses on what it may be or who it had come from. This was all speculation however, and he waited to pick up on another comm from Coldwind, or to hear more banter through the open channel frequency.
Ignored—Unexpected but hardly inconvenient. Coldwind could "discuss" this with Soundwave later. Now was not the time. The situation demanded her full attention. As Blue fired, the Seeker tilted her large body sideways to avoid the null-ray. A loud scraping noise followed as her left side bore into the cavern walls, scraping Coldwind's wings. She did not crash, nor did Blue's attack seem to hit her.
Indeed, Coldwind would not give up so easily. Even with a damaged wing, she maintained her pursuit. If Soundwave would not help, she had to take matters into her own hands—which meant using the "nuclear" option, as it were—her AAMs.
The Seeker deployed a pair of air-to-air missiles from her undercarriage. They were destructive weapons of human engineering, designed for open combat and not underground tunnels. She knew that missing Bladewing meant bringing down a portion of the cavern, but it was a risk Coldwind could live with.
Having that kind of foresight, she fired, not at the renegade but the section of the tunnel ahead of him. Coldwind knew what she was doing. Either she would force Bladewing to stop, corner him into one of the side tunnels ill-suited for flight, or in the best scenario—she would bring down the roof upon him.
Bladewing had to act quickly.
::You are naive to think you can fool me by claiming loyalty to Starscream.::
It would appear that Coldwind was not aware of Bladewing's allegiance being a genuine sentiment. She seemed convinced that he was lying to distract his pursuer. If Bladewing had the willingness to continue talking, perhaps there was a chance—however slim—he could convince her.
::But by all means, squirm and lie for your life, little brother. It will make tearing you apart all the sweeter.::
She certainly seemed to be enjoying her time. There was no telling if she'd stop even knowing the truth. Bladewing and Blue had choices to make—fast.
After Blue had fired his shot Bladewing did a quick, partial transformation to Blue inside him. Then he gunned his engines to pick up speed, ignoring her words as he couldn't risk any distraction. The maneuver was risky, yes, he could crash into or scrape a wall, which was why he had brought Blue into his cockpit. Another risk was that of reading his surroundings wrong and taking a wrong turn. But what choice did he have? His pursuer was despite her massive frame faster than him, which in this surroundings also meant more agile, unless she's taken a shortcut he'd been unaware of. She hadn't used a ground bridge portal that much he knew, he'd had felt that.
Thus they were in an extremely bad position. The one sent out to kill him was right behind them and as soon as he'd enter the next tunnel in just a matter of seconds he wouldn't be able to dodge any fire she unleashed upon them, not without crashing at least. Also were his lasers directed forward, making Blue his only mounted weapon that could shoot a pursuer, but his shot had missed and he was no longer mounted to his fuselage.
He could try to make her overshoot by performing a breaking maneuver and transform in order to be able to aim his own weapons at her in the hopes of getting a few shots to hit home on the heavily armored seeker. That however would enable her to block his way and force him into a rigged fight. So he scratched the idea and entered the next tunnel.
His mind raced as suddenly two rockets were shot. But not at him judging by the trajectory. She wanted to bring the roof down onto him or at least force him to stop and face her into a one on one.
Belts shot out from behind the pilot's seat strapping Blue in tight. Being trapped in this tunnel with the traitorous killer wasn't an option and thus he fired two of his own rockets back at her, while sending his engines into overdrive as he went for going under and through the upcoming cave in.
Heat and fire licked at his frame scorching the outer layers of his finish. Then came the first hits of rubble, first small stones feeling almost like small bullets grazing his armor. Then came the bigger ones hitting his wings and making it harder and harder by the split second to stay on course and to not crash. He could feel their weight dent his armor and sharp edges dig into it like claws.
His engines whined and he could feel them overheating. Security protocols wanted to shut them down in order to prevent damage to them and the rest of his frame, but he overrode that. If he shut down his engines now he'd lose thrust and then the rocks raining down on him and starting to weigh him down. His belly already had started to scrape over the ground every now and then, sending showers of sparks into the dusty air.
Then came the heavy boulders and while the first two missed the third crashed onto the front edge of his left wing. He cried out in pain as the appendage was warped from the impact and its mounts were strained to their maximum. Then everything just turned into a loud dusty flurry of pain and disorientation as he started to spin out of control. At some point he must have transformed, because he was rolling and skidding over the floor.
For a moment everything had gone dark before everything came back to him. It was over. He coughed from the dust as he laughed in relief of still being alive, as he carefully let go of Blue. ::You alright?:: He asked his symbiont via comm. His frame was in way too much pain to know if any of that came from Blue. But they couldn't stay. They weren't out of the woods, yet. And so, with a groan he fought himself up to his feet and started limp forward on slightly wobbly legs as quickly as he could using the wall for support. The exit was far and he would have flown, but his engines needed to cool down first, unless He wanted to burn them out completely. He just hoped that the roof would hold and that the cave in was obscuring his position.
Time seemed to have slowed down just before he'd taken the shot, but when it had missed time had suddenly started to speed up and it had felt like everything was happening at once. There had barely been a warning before Bladewing had transferred him into his cockpit and strapped him in tightly. He didn't even have the time to get nervous and panicky, because an action like this meant that they were in extremely serious trouble.
He wasn't sure if was screaming when the cave rained down on them, since everything was drowned out by the howling of Bladewing's engines and the explosions and the tons and tons of stone crashing down. The only indication that he was screaming was his voice box starting to hurt from the shear strain as his spark was pulsing so hard he feared that it might break free of its chamber. His claws were already digging into the sides of the pilot's seat and felt dizzy from panic. They would die, they would be buried and this time no one would come for them or they would come just to finish them off. Blue kept from fainting from all the stress through shear force of will and survival instinct. If he fainted then he couldn't take control of Bladewing's jet form should his host lose consciousness. He paused his screaming for a high pitched shriek as a big stone hit the armored glass of the cockpit's canopy and let a web of cracks spread in a circle around its impact site.
Then there was a sudden jolt of pain going through the bond and Bladewing started to spin out of control, before the seeker transformed and rolled and skidded over the ground, pressing him to his chest and shielding him with his arms and frame. Blue clung to his host's chest plates as tight as he could, optics squeezed shut and his little claws digging into the seams between the plates.
He could feel more pain all over Bladewing's frame before the seeker finally fell unconscious mere moments before they came to a halt. "Wake up! Wake up! Please! Please! Please! Wake up! We need to go! It's not safe! Wake up! Please…" Blue pleaded as he tugged at his unconscious host's arms and spark.
Finally, after moments that felt like eternities Bladewing came to. Blue decided that it was thanks to his efforts, even though deep down he knew that it could have very well have happened without his efforts. But believing that it had been him helped him to completely freak out with panic as it gave him a sense of control in a situation where he had absolutely no control over anything. ::I-I'm fine.:: Blue assured his host.
When Bladewing stood up he quickly jumped up at his arm and attached himself to it. There he started to charge himself up. Not too much as they needed to conserve energon, due to the fact that Bladewing was bleeding, the overdrive had burned through a good part of the seeker's energon reserves and they still needed to fly away and find a safe place and some energon
The single shot of a weapon had been noisy in the cavernous maze of tunnels... but missiles?
Sharply, Soundwave's frame wrenched around to look back where he had come from, long slender arms fanning out on either side while his helm crooked high on its mounting. He stood rigidly, the booms absolutely deafening within the cage of stone and rock, a combination that made it reverberate that much louder in subsequent echoed cries. There was no time given to process what he had heard, no time to really even put together what it MEANT for them all before he had to hook his forearm up some in front of his visor.
A punch of air slammed down the tunnel where Soundwave had been standing, sending a stream of dust and dirt to clink and ping against his wing panel with howling speed. Even as far away as he was, the magnitude of their weaponry combined was a dangerous and careless decision that could affect them all. Their raw power within a confined environment? It was foolish. Soundwave did not know who had fired first... or, if only one had been the source of all the booms that just rang out.
Either Bladewing was truly throwing all his cards in a ditch effort, Coldwind had gone insane, or it was a combo where they were both flinging what they had at one another with no regard for the fact the cave could come down on all four of them!
Soundwave had been planning to walk his way out while the other three scuffled, step beside the exit, and wait patiently. See if Bladewing and Blue found their path to freedom to jot down in the records, or see if Coldwind exited with their heads dangling from her claws. He was in no rush to get to this sentry point, content to walk... but... no more. If they were risking collapsing the mine? Soundwave wanted no part of being buried alive.
While the cavern rumbled and groaned, Soundwave's helm then whipped around, looking to where he had been walking moments prior. It was too far to try to run the distance, not with these fools potentially doing more to incite a true collapse of the entire system, and as such the darkness around him was cut into by his screen illuminating. An all too familiar wireframe, trajectory information and coordinates... The satellite array on the navy mech's back bristled some as he got connection, before a Space Bridge ripped ahead of him, blasting his surroundings out with light.
Teal and purple lights flickered down the dust hazed caves, giving a faint momentary blink of light to show where the exit tunnel may be, before Soundwave stepped through-
The cave rumbled deeply as the pair of missiles brought down the tunnel upon Coldwind's enemy. At that moment, she transformed and landed into a three-point landing, her feet digging into the dirt for purchase, drifting somewhat with the remaining momentum.
She did so for the express purpose of making herself smaller and avoiding Bladewing's set of rockets. Taking up less space was a reasonable, strategic decision. Rather than trying to outrun what won't be, Coldwind shrunk to avoid as much danger as possible.
Another tremor followed as the rockets fired by her enemy hit the tunnel walls behind Coldwind. A heavy slurry of stone and rubble began to descend from the ceiling, pinging off Coldwind's armor and leaving behind painful-looking dents.
Reflexively, she let out a soft transformation sound that brought about an additional layer of protection to guard the Seeker's head—a headpiece of that covered Coldwind's neck and helm. A prominent V-shaped visor now shielded her optics.
Were here plating any lighter, she too would be bleeding severely now. Fortunately, the blunt force of earthly rock was not enough. However, she now knew to watch out for Bladewing's companion. That insufferable thing hurt her, and it could do so again.
Keeping that in mind, she struck out to follow after them on foot. In case any more rubble began to loosen itself, she would be safer a robot than a jet. Additionally, her powers would find their use if she had to break through any clusters of debris on her way.
"Come out, little brother! I know you and your pet aren't dead yet!" She shouted across the mine complex, letting her booming voice carry with the echo, additionally mutated by the modifier on her helmet.
As she continued to move in Bladewing's and Blue's direction, Coldwind began to wonder about a few things. She was, of course, more than happy to crush a pair of filthy traitors, but the idea that they may have spoken the truth somewhat unnerved her.
Could they truly be loyal to Starscream? If so, what would the commander think of her?
Oh well, best not to pay it any mind, she thought. If they died without Starscream finding out, it would be as if she had never done it in the first place. Their deaths could be Coldwind's little secret. Primus knows Starscream's got plenty of those. What's one for his loyal bodyguard?
As Bladewing moved down the corridor he kept touching his symbiont in a reassuring manner to calm both of them. Neither could afford to panic now, despite the situation. It would cloud their processors and most likely get them killed. He also fanned his wings in order to help his frame cool down faster as he had an incling that he needed to take flight again sooner rather than later. For a moment he contemplated to stop and tend to his leaking wounds but he decided against it since he feared that the treacherous seeker working as Soundwave's killer had somehow survived the cave in and was able to dig free to jump them in a surprise attack. Bladewing knew that right now he wasn't in any condition to fight. And so he moved on until they reached a junction. Bladewing slowed his steps as he approached it, trying to make as little noise as possible. Having reached it he quickly peered around the corners just to make sure that the corridor was empty. Relieved by when this was indeed the case he stepped into it, testing the air with his wings. Feeling the air currents that spoke of a nearby exit of the mine almost made him fall to his knees and praise Primus. He did refrain from it though and instead kept moving, spurred on by the scent of fresh air.
Only a few corners later he finally saw the almost blinding outside light speaking of the exit, which stood in stark contrast to the relative darkness within the mine. To Bladewing's dismay however, he also spotted the silhouette of Soundwave. Getting past the spymaster was an impossible task and speeding by might prove just equally fatal since he didn't know what kinds of weapons the other mech had with him. He looked behind him, where the threat of the treacherous seeker was still lurking before looking back to Soundwave and the exit. Trying to make up a plan that would get them out of the mines and into safety without getting them more injured or even killed.
Blue did his very best to refrain from panicking as it would endanger both of them. He was extremely glad that he had Bladewing and his reassurance, knowing that without him he wouldn't have made it. And so he just clung a little tighter to his carrier's arm - if that was possible. At least he did so mentally.
When they reached the final corner and Bladewing spotted Soundwave Blue couldn't help his weapon form making an almost distressed little whine as it powered up some more, just in case. Most of what he knew about Soundwave had been shared by Bladewing and the mech seemed to have quite a fearsome reputation. And with bringing them here to have them killed just proved how untrustworthy and dangerous the spy truly was.
Blue could feel his carrier's mind race in order to find a way out of the situation, so Blue tried his best to quell his rising panic and dedicate his processors to the same task. It got quickly quite clear that there wasn't a solution that didn't bore the high risk of getting killed - at least without help. This whole action was unsanctioned by Starscream, the current leader of the Decepticons. It was a conspiracy of Megatron sympathizers in order to get rid those loyal to the Skylord from weakening his support within the faction. They didn't have Starscream's comm frequency though, but Knock Out's. The medic had proven trustworthy before and Blue hoped that he would relay a message to the Decepticon leader. He relayed this idea to Bladewing. His carrier had a stronger commlink than him so he would have better chances getting a signal through, plus Blue doubted that he was currently in a state where he would be able to articulate himself very well, thus being able to get the message through before someone cut their connection and jammed their comms.
Praying to Primus below that it would work, Bladewing sent a comm request to the frequency Knock Out had given them.
Once Bladewing and Blue had left the Medical Bay, Knock Out assumed that would be the end of things. They’d go off and be assigned some task here at Blackridge Hold, checking in every so often when it was time for routine maintenance or should something come up.
Blissfully unaware that the cassette and carrier were running for their very lives, Knock Out had settled at his desk with a datapad and his ration for the day. With racing out of the question - at least for today - given he’d had to call Soundwave and Starscream to assist him earlier, thus busting him for being outside Blackridge, he was making a decent and honest attempt at catching up on some long overdue paperwork.
Since the crash of the Nemesis, he hadn’t gotten around to making sure everything was still correct in terms of logs. They’d lost more than a dozen Vehicons and Eradicons, and as such those files would need to be moved elsewhere. The only problem was he ah- wasn’t quite sure which designation belonged to which trooper, making this task one that he’d put off more than once simply because it was too much hassle.
Squinting at designation after designation, all it would take was a quick cross reference to see which Vehicons had visited the Medical Bay here at Blackridge, then he could simply mark off those who hadn’t and-
A ping to his comm snapped his attention away from the screen, only for him to headtilt in confusion at the broken, garbled static that came through. Whoever it was was either somewhere deep underground, or had damaged their communication relay to the point it was struggling to send a message.
He couldn’t make out many of the words being said, though could recognize the voice as belonging to Bladewing - he’d worked on them only earlier this day, which probably helped. ‘Knock’ was one word- which, duh, that was him. ‘Star’ was another. Was that the word help?
Knock Star Help.
::Whoa whoa, Bladewing, you need to get somewhere clearer. I can barely understand you! What’s wrong?::
Leaning back in the chair, he would vent out a long, drawn out sigh as he set the datapad down on his desk. Star, he could only assume, was Starscream - it made sense, he’d been around earlier this day and had met the pair, too. The ‘Help’ he was unsure of. Get help, maybe?
The transition from the cavernous mine system to the outdoors was abrasive and sharp, jarring in its own way even before one took into account the fact it was linked via a Space Bridge, rather than a leisurely walk between. For Soundwave, he had transitioned from a literal inky darkness, into the teal blaze of a vortex, only to stride out into the blinding outdoors that assaulted his systems. While some may assume that if he had a face of some kind, his visor would protect from the light, but that was mistaken. He was not immune to such violent shifts with his visor, face or not, especially when it was the equivalent of looking into the sun head on. As such, for a brief moment, the navy mech stood at the mouth of the cave, trying to get his bearings and adjust systems to the sharp illumination with a blank idle stillness.
Clicked whirs, faint noises as levels calibrated... the inky black screen lifted to look at the horizon line while a couple of the quill-like protrusions of his satellite array twitched the slightest of amounts. It was then he realized his trajectory goal had been slightly off, and instead of bridging to the side of the cave's opening, he had landed himself directly in front of it. This was not what he had intended to do, yet it was acceptable given he had slammed through the calculations hastily to avoid possibly being buried alive.
It was also an error that was easily rectified.
Bladewing may think he was between a rock and a hard place, but Soundwave's position at the entrance to the cave was not held for long. Once he realized where he was, he would turn and move to the side, not even glancing to look back at the other Cybertronians. His gait had calmed relatively from the more hurried rush from before, tucking off to the edge of the opening as to not be within it in any way. Should the mine collapse, he didn't want to get caught up in any debris. This was especially true if a missile collided near the mouth of the cave itself, as said debris would be mixed with flame and a combustive force that could throw him down with ease.
No... Soundwave wouldn't be in Bladewing's path at all, and it didn't seem like he intended to change that.
Easing to rest, the silent mech would settle off to the side on what was actually a very narrow ledge of a platform, out of the line of fire and even line of sight from within the tunnel. His back facing the rocks of the cliff face, while his helm was crooked ever so slightly enough to watch the opening intently. Recording, jotting down how long it had been since this game of cat and mouse began...
Small bits of rock would drop off the ledge right before his feet, clicking and popping as they cascaded into a long freefall to a river that lay down below. It was not flat earth that would greet whoever exited the mines next, but rather a sharp cliffside that plunged a good distance. Should this trap have been aimed at a grounder rather than one that could take flight? Well, they would not have a very good time, even if they could find the exit. This would be no real concern for the current participants in this deathly 'game' however, given their chosen Alt-Modes.
Beyond the rocks and river sat a smear of green foliage and rough terrain, the sky a sharp blue with no clouds to speak of.
Wholly unaware that her targets had contacted Knock Out—nor that they were in cahoots with Starscream—Coldwind continued to follow in their footsteps with relentless killing intent. She struck out through the tunnels, kicking aside debris, and as she neared closer and closer, the sounds of shifting stone and footsteps became louder and louder.
And then, only when Coldwind finally turned the last corner, could she see them.
Both of them...And a glimpse of a third, who disappeared before she could make out any details. Was that Soundwave? Perhaps an unknown enemy which had yet to reveal itself? Maybe this mysterious shade was the reason for their termination? Various scenarios played out in her head, but even the presence of another did not deter Coldwind. She didn't balk at the prospect of potentially having to face a third.
In fact, she welcomed the challenge, and the targets' proximity to the entrance only served to motivate her bloodlust further.
But something was odd about the way she moved. There was no urgency, no rush. She did not charge after Bladewing nor Blue. She just walked—slowly—almost as if she was letting them get away.
No, that was not it either. Coldwind was giving them a headstart.
Yes, she would let the "traitors" dare dream of escape and hope...Only so that she could crush their sparks before crushing their bodies. Coldwind always wanted her victims to desire life and freedom, just so she could deny them. It brought her joy, and there was no rhyme or reason to it other than that.
Truly, there were no limits to her cruelty, but in her mind devoid of empathy, it all made perfect sense. What joy was there in crushing people who didn't want to live? None for Coldwind, certainly. She always let her victims have faith, show them the light at the end of the tunnel, only to take it away.
Soundwave might've not approved of such a pointless flair for the dramatic, but to Coldwind, it was everything that mattered in life. If she risked the Spymaster's ire, so be it. She lived in idleness for far too long to not have her fun...
...Leaving Bladewing and Blue to take flight at any moment if they only wanted to.
Bladewing saw the shadow of Soundwave's form disappear around the edge. He was most likely hiding right next to the exit. He would do that, as it was a perfect place for an ambush. He fanned his wings in order to help his frame cool down faster, contemplating if he had enough energon within his systems to make a run for freedom. At the same moment he received an answer from Knock Out, or what had made it through the rocks. He only got a few words. '...whoa… clearer… wrong? ...' Well getting somewhere clearer wasn't exactly an option right now, well staying here wasn't either from the rumbling sounds coming from the caved in tunnel he just came from. His persuer obviously. She must be way more resilient then him and much stronger than he thought. And now she was working herself through the rubble. Scrap!
He decided to give his frame, especially his engines, another minute to cool before he would try to run for it. Time he decided to use to send Knock Out another message. He knew that the connection worked, just words didn't get through propperly. Using this knowledge he pinged Knock Out's commlink again, but almost immediately cut the connection as soon as the ping had gone through. Then he repeated this multiple times only alternating the times he let the connection stay active, hoping that Knock Out would understand what he was doing. The two different connection times as well as their order weren't haphazardly chosen but following Decepticon morse code.
"Soundwave and female seeker; heavily built; white grey frame, betray Starscream by letting people loyal to him vanish. In need of help. Repeat. Soundwave and female seeker; heavily built; white grey frame, betray Starscream by letting people loyal to him vanish. In need of help."
Having sent his message Bladewing decided to give Knock Out a moment to answer before he would try his luck with the exit as Blue started to urge him to do. Right now his symbiont seemed to be more afraid of their pursuer than Soundwave and he was inclined to share that sentiment.
While they waited Bladewing kept keen sensors on the exit while he held Blue in a way so that the minicon was able to scan the corridor they'd come from. This hopefully would give them a fair warning and keep the traitors from catching them by surprise.
