She tilted her head, changing the angle at the ring. It wasn't so much the two-inch pendent she was looking at anymore. It was Reflector, trying to gauge his feelings, his expression, something about him to clue her in on what to do next. She'd met his type before being one of, and leading, herds of interns-- quiet, in the shell, afraid to step on toes so it was hard for them to move at all.
"Safe…" She mused, "Good! All the better." She nabbed the necklace with a similar-sized pendent, looping it cleanly about her neck. One of the best ways to do it, she decided, was to be blunt, and ask questions until they got tired of answering. "So what do you usually do around here? Any hobbies, things to do for fun?"
Reflector once more tilted his head at he human, trying to figure out how much he should tell her. After all what he normally did was spy on everyone, not Cleaver of course, but everyone else was fair game. This was only because he liked keeping his sneaking skills nice and sharp, of course a smidgen of blackmail material stored away never hurt anyone either.
"I...keep watch on things for Cleaver." He said after a moment of thought, perhaps too long of a moment at that. Reflector was starting to get a little nervous again, worried that he wasn't saying the right things to his new found friend.
'Uh huh.' She found herself thinking, a smirk firmly resting on her lips and with no attempts to hide her expression she was practically inviting him to read her. 'Keep watch' was very broad, very simple and was positioned ever so wonderfully in the middle of two extremes stretching out on either side; neither one nor the other but always maintaining the ability to become one or the other. Lovely. "Sounds like you'd be forever entertained, ah?"
"Does that mean only everything on the ship?" She raised up a foot, taking the smaller chain and wrapping the anklet around her foot. "Or do you have fun surfing Earth's web, too?"
((OOC: Sorry for the long wait, things have been crazy here.))
Reflector couldn't help but think she seemed a little distracted, which in turn got him thinking. After all he didn't know her that well, Cleaver liked the human and that spoke books about her but no one really knew Catherine beyond that. He was starting to wonder if she was studying him just as carefully as he was, which was something he might have considered impossible, but then again he had learned a while back from his own divings into human culture that nothing was what it seemed.
At about this time he realized that Catherine was talking to him though he didn't hear much of it in his pondering, so he played back the recording in his head he caught himself back up to speed. "I watch everything, on the ship, in cyber-space, everything I can." Reflector answered quickly, hoping that this would be good enough.
'Here we go.' She thought, smiling as she swiveled her chair around to face him fully. Asking questions was okay, she was getting responses... But maybe if she asked questions that lead in a different direction? Cybertron and his culture, life around the ship, his personal life-- that might have made him uncomfortable. Might make anyone uncomfortable, so she had to remind herself, often, that not everyone was used to dealing with 'Well. Zio.'. There were no secrets with Tony.
But if she could lead into something he might fine a bit more interesting...? "Awesome. Seen any movies, tv shows? Listen to any music? Or... not that interested in Earth culture?"
The little bot thought about this once more, though he knew a great deal about humanity as a whole, perhaps better then some of his fellow Cybertronians who might not care that much. Reflector understood that if your on an alien world you best cram as much into your data-banks as you can or risk being destroyed due to some oversight.
"I like you humans. It's the first time in a long time I've met an entire species I didn't need to crane my joints to get a good optic full." He said with a small hint of nervousness in his voice. "As for your culture, I am a tad fond of your 'James Bond' and his spy tales." He then gave a small shiver as his entire metal body shook "Though being a spy in the real world is no where near as glamorous, it at least gives a bot some hope."

"Yeah, I hear you. It's nice to see someone else fun-size since I got here, ya know?" Her cheeks bunched under her glasses when she smiled, in the way they often did that set an almost mischievous gleam to her eyes, as if she were sharing a secret, or keeping one. "You know..." She raised her brow above the frames, "We should have a movie night sometime. What d'you think? You get some rations, I get some snacks, and we can chill out here to watch ourselves into a stupor on the big screen?" She swiveled back around in the chair, flailing her arms out to the surrounding monitors.
"Only... if you want to, that is. Don't feel like you have to or anything."
Reflector's massive optic winked out for a moment, simulating a startled blink as he stared at the little human. "S-sure!" He stuttered just a little, never really having a friend before he was more then a little excited at the thought of spending time with Catherine. "What movie?" He asked soon after, rather looking forwards to the idea of just sitting in front of the main screen and enjoying himself for once.
"Well..." She mused, turning to tap her fingers on the keypad spread out on the desk. James Bond narrowed it down, but it could also open it up. James Bond meant action.. one of her favorite genres... so perhaps he'd be open to a few of her favorite movies. "We could watch all the James Bond movies, starting with the very first up to the most recent. We could also... watch some other action flicks. A massive vegetable soup of action." She clicked a link, pulling up a movie poster featuring a rough Bruce Willis. "How do you feel about Live Free, Die Hard?"
Reflector scratched his chin at that "Is it anything like the movie 'Aliens'?" he asked in a nervous tone "That gave me nightmares for weeks..." it was clear he was no fan of horror movies, and being an alien being himself Reflector worried he might meet up with those freakish things one day.
Tap, tap, tap, a new wall of digital movie posters ran across the screen, all them a wonderful mix of explosions and tense facial expressions. She thumbed through each one slow, considering. "Mmmno. Not really. It's action, minus the face-huggers." '..Does he like chick-flicks?' she thought absently, thumbing over Fast and the Furious. '..It's kind of a.. mm.. '. "What about..." 'Terminator, Star Wars...? Distritct 9!.. No..'. She couldn't ask an alien to watch a movie about aliens, and machines.. most of which were geared towards killing these aliens.. and machines. "The Bourne series is pretty good." Sneaky stuff. "Or... Batman? Spiderman?" 'Wonderful mixture of sneak and comic book education.' "You into comic books?"
"Um...sure?" Reflector answered, sounding just a little confused. He knew of these 'super heroes' from his research, but not a whole lot other then the basics. He knew that they were ideals of what the perfect human should be, often reminding Reflector of the sorts of stories he heard about Optimus Prime. "All of those sound rather nice, I'll happily watch what you want to watch." Of course the always timid Reflector was more then willing to just go with the flow instead of cause trouble.
'Dammit!' She had gotten so close, or at least she felt she did, to getting him to lead the conversation. To get him comfortable enough to lead to what he liked. "Well, we can watch any of these any time, so let's go with the first suggestion, then. James Bond?" She clicked on a category, the screen exploding with the numerous movies with their numerous James Bond's over the decades. "But," She smiled across her shoulder at Reflector, swiveling around in her chair to stand. "You pick which one to start with. I'll grab you a seat."
"Nothin' says we can't watch 'em all at once, too." The chair was an artistic creation of things lying around the ship, formed into something that looked... comfortable. If she had it, for her size, it must have been. If she was offering it to Reflector, it definitely was. She plopped it down behind him, beside her, before she returned to her own seat. "Want anything to... eat?" 'Does energon come in other forms.. flavors?'
Reflector thought about it for a moment and shook his head "I've seen them all dozens of times." he stated before "Why don't we do that 'Born' thing, my internet sources have heard good things about it." though his 'sources' in question were reviewer sites, it didn't really matter. Reflector didn't want to force Catherine to watch something just as many times as he had. Then he moved on to the next topic "No thank you. I've had my daily intake and will be perfectly fine until tomorrow..." he paused before adding "Um...th-thanks for caring though." he couldn't help but be touched by the human's actions, having never had a friend before it was almost overwhelming.
The screen cycled through a number of images and genres before it came to rest on the confused expression of Matt Daemon. She hadn't ever seen these movies herself, but she'd heard through the grapevine they weren't bad. Just as well they both get to watch something they'd never seen before. "Bourne it is! Lovely choice." She shrugged, smirking as she tapped a key sequence. Windows minimized on all screens and blanked until she hit a key, all of them suddenly flashing to life with the opening sequence for the Bourne: Identity.
Almost as an afterthought, leaning back in her chair and tipping her glasses at a different angle, she added: "We should hang over lunch sometime... discuss sneaky computer-y things." She kicked her ankles up on the desk, folding her hands over her abdomen. "It's nice to have a friend with the same... 'hobbies'."
