“It’s Windshield!”
“He has Jack!”
::Miko! Come in Miko!::
Prowl let out a soft curse as he saw that the signal had dropped, leaving his words nothing more than empty wishes that crashed into a rock wall. However instead of giving into despair like some other beings, Prowl immediately went into action. His digits flew across the keyboard like a concert pianist attempting to play Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3, opening a special app that all watch standers were required to be able to access within five seconds.
Since Miko had an annoying tendency to wander off at the most inopportune times, Prowl had suggested to Agent Fowler that it was in everyone’s best interest to microchip the young human. However since there was no way they could chip her without her knowing about it, a compromise was reached. The same technology that allowed Bulkhead and Raf to find Agent Fowler when he was captured was slipped into Miko’s cellphone, allowing U.S. Government satellites to be able to locate the phone anywhere on the planet.
Some might have balked at what they viewed as an invasion of Miko’s privacy. Prowl called it taking precautions to prevent more incidents.
However, Miko’s safety was not at the forefront of his processor right now.
Windshield was alive.
That meant that Prowl had been right all along.
And since they had Knock Out sitting in the brig, there was little to no need to bring Windshield in alive to figure out what happened to Patch.
Once he had the coordinates Prowl punched them into the groundbridge, but instead of activating the vortex he reached over and hit the general alarm, causing a klaxon to sound throughout Omega Base.
::All Autobots on base, report to the control room.::
He then typed a quick message into the computer before pulling the activation lever on the groundbridge and sprinted towards the vortex, not waiting to see if there was anyone that would follow behind him.
