Ohh... so a cassette...
Or... cassette...
Er... cartridge... thing...
It really was a word that didn't have a real one-to-one conversion as far as he knew, though Carbine now understood enough to not be confused by it should it be used again in the future, context clues being everything to differentiate. Not that it was likely going to be much of a concern given how old Miko declared the device was, where it was outdated to a point they weren’t even manufactured anymore... As such, Carbine didn't expect it to be brought up again unless he called Bolo a Cassette openly in front of other humans, in which case they probably would connect the dots on what he meant far faster than he had the other way around.
"Sounds like y-you found yourself a pr̢òpe̛r ͠ant̢iq̴ue!"
The tone of Carbine's voice conveyed that he probably was under the assumption that it had actual true real value. Sometimes old things simply hit differently with some people, where they would pay more for old than they would for new tenfold depending on just how far back it was made. It wasn't something Carbine understood super well when new was NEW in his opinion, yet there was that understanding where even he could appreciate vintage things simply due to knowing their value to others.
Whatever the case, the topic at hand shifted, as a new FAR more recent treasure was found and plopped down onto the ground, only for Miko to run off, which... was the opposite of what was expected.
"Don't start looking in it without me!"
"You ai͟n't th͟e b̧-͡b͘oss of me!"
Joked back, Carbine nonetheless listened to what Miko had to say, namely because he didn’t think he cared about anything that may have been from that room. Overstock that would be down here would probably just be bulk mesh patches, maybe some replacement syringes or other general-use tool refills or wire, rather than anything truly beneficial that he would want to steal. Which. He wouldn't have had any problems about doing if he did see something he felt would benefit him.
Ever the opportunistic soul, should something within that container truly appeal to him so that he could tend to his wounds without going to the Medical Bay? He would a hundred and ten percent take that with little to no care over things. If it was in storage, they must have had plenty upstairs, and as such nobody would likely notice the discrepancy. Maybe. Well... no. If Ratchet was here, it would be noticed no doubt, but not so much with the backup squad playing support to the team as a whole. Whatever the case, he didn’t pay it any mind, letting Miko do her thing while he glanced at other stuff on the shelf.
Reaching forward, Carbine picked up a sort of Cybertronian lantern, looking it over some as he wondered just why they had them as it didn’t feel like some normal thing to have around when most of them had headlights or other inbuilt biolights that could help. He wondered if it was perhaps a claim from a Decepticon raided mine for true dark navigation of those underground tunnels? Held to the side down here if they ever got a chance to explore such an area on their own or who knows what... With a sort of bored flick, he would turn it on, the illumination making his optics squint down to counter the sudden assault before he just as readily turned it off and sat it back on the shelf with a clunk beside the others.
"I'm sur͜prised you aren’t alread͟y in͟ ͘h̛ere̡."
Really, he couldn’t imagine Miko not instantly swan-diving into adventure, though here they were. Perhaps whatever music she was about to key up was perfect 'adventure music!' or other higher energy stuff, but he had no real idea and whatever it was would likely be quite old like the device it was recorded on. Old wasn't an instantaneous 'bad' stamp though with such things, as he did sometimes miss some of the songs from Cybertron that probably had all their copies burned in ash, but he wasn’t on some hunt for human equivalents to fill some void.
At this thought, he rocked his weight back, leaning to see where Miko was, which wasn't that hard given who accompanied her.
The moment she started to patrol the storage room for an outlet, Bolo would stand and follow behind her curiously, his ears angled forward and nose working every now and again while he tried to figure out just what she was seeking. In his mind if she wanted it? Then he also would want it, and if it was for him? He wanted it the second it got into her hands so he could eat or play with it.
This resulted in dulled taps as Bolo kept right behind her.
