As soon as she'd returned from the escape pod's crash site, Fairwinds had pinged Soundwave and Reflector with a request to meet as soon as possible. That she was actively needing to avoid Starscream so that he didn't just crush her as one of the remaining links to the allegedly-deceased former CO made such meetings difficult: on top of Soundwave's required attention following the attack, and Reflector's general dislike of speaking to her.
Ravage would be communicating with Soundwave, and the spymaster was loyal to Megatron first and foremost. He would want ironclad proof of the former gladiator's death before he moved some measure of that allegience across, so Fairwinds didn't need to request his help. Soundwave also knew about the allignment bond between Megatron and Barricade, and that Barricade's continued existence both meant that their CO was alive and, more importantly, that both mechs needed to remain alive for the sake of the other.
Reflector was Fairwind's in to Barricade, as a quick skim of the Eradicon chatter confirmed that the Infiltrator was not only in the brig but on full communication lockdown. A gag, specifically, making the cassette link the only means Barricade had of communicating with anyone via Reflector.
It would be a major effort to get Barricade out of the brig and planetside where he needed to be, requiring the co-ordination of several Decepticons working under Starscream's faceplate. With a requirement to remain hidden in the vents and off the comm.s, Fairwinds was restricted on who of the reliable mecha not severely damaged from the Autobot attack she could realistically contact.
Ratbat was far from first on her list, but his office was the closest to the hanger bay she'd let herself back into the Nemesis through.
He was suspended conveniently close to the ceiling on his favoured perch, and she pressed her beak against the slats in the vent to look up his caped form. Likely the cassette already knew she was there, but Ratbat stood on propriety.
Fairwinds pinged him a general greeting before adding quietly: "Ratbat, Sir?"
