We are a literate, intermediate to advanced AU Transformers RPG Based off of the first season of TFP with dashes of other incarnations sprinkled here or there. Characters from any continuity are welcome however must be restyled to match the TFPrime universe.
Active, with ongoing plotlines, we are always willing to integrate new characters into storylines once incorporated into the setting.
Character songs are a popular device for many a writer, and I'm sure more than a few people have some tracks lined up for their own charries or scenarios, on these boards or elsewhere.
But the reason we've all gathered here today, folks, is to list songs for OTHER people's characters. Fire off for anyone to do with the boards or TF canon, and provide a link where possible so we may all partake in this joyous sharing. Noticed how Bumblebee relates to 'Computer Games'? Or that private headcanon where Megatron's battle anthem is the 'My Little Pony' themesong? Make it happen!
The lyrics are attached in the drop-down menu of the video, but here's a sample of the beginning, which is rather fitting for Blue:
Sometimes I wanna take it from a little to a lot And I am spinning in a circle like a dizzy little top And I am calling all the people I'd forgotten about And trying to tell them that I figured it out, but it's a lie And all the stupid things I say and do and never really stop When I should never have begun, I really oughtta drop it But it's faster when you don't even have time to stop And think about the things that you are saying cuz they really never matter
But it's Empty spaces in the air, fill it up, fill it up, fill it up, oh no All the million little empty spaces in the air, fill it up, fill it up, fill it up, oh no
But I never was a fighter and I never was a poet and I never was a writer though you'd never really know it cuz I'm full of all the knowledge that you needed to know and I will share it if you're ready or not
This isn't a lyric-perfect song, but I chose it for the mood. It's steeped heavily in obsession and the struggle it brings when it's being parsed - and facing a continued desire to protect after losing the possessive Guardian coding certainly was, and is, no bed of roses.
What struck me about Rook as a character is that he's so very emotionally distant. Whether or not this was a direct result of the war I'm not sure, but I'm willing to bet it's knocked out the last of any soft stuffing he might've had. Not much goes right for the poor bastard in this song either.
Most of the songs I have for Raj are more mood-related than lyrically relevant, honestly. Hence why I tend to listen to a lot of Marina & the Diamonds and Temposhark when writing for him.
However, the closest thing I can think of for a theme-song for him is the "Feeling Good" cover by Michael Bublé. It sums up his confidence and general smooth demeanor quite well I think. Plus, the music video is perfect for him. James Bond style spy flick? Oh yeah, sign me up for that.
I've always liked to select oddbit music for characters. Possibly because my brain is broken (in all the good ways) or because I have oddbit tastes in music. In any case, here we go
I can't find your silver lining I don't mean to judge But when you read your speech, it's tiring Enough is enough
I'm covering my ears like a kid When your words mean nothing, I go la la la I'm turning up the volume when you speak 'Cause if my heart can't stop it, I find a way to block it, I go La la, la la la la la na na na na na
