Plot Seeds:
- On the Fence: Thanks to being saved by Layby, Sarita has found a place at the DMZ. There she acts as a hostess/extra set of eyes on the bar, performing sometimes and helping guests settle in. She's as green as grass to the job, so if anyone wants to throw a wrench or a certain Cybertronian at her, I'm all ears.
- Little Thief In My Domain: Long story short, Sarita will steal to get what she wants or what she needs. If there is an expensive pair of designer pants on sale, and she wants to look good for a job interview? She'll steal them. She's not above breaking car windows, picking pockets or even whacking people over the head if she had to — and not all cars are just cars, after all....
- Craigslist
JoeJane: Sarita often takes jobs from Craigslist that involve labour or yard work. She'll do just about anything and everything so long as she feels it's not a threat to her safety. If it is? She has pepper spray and a knife, even if she doesn't use the latter very well. - Sings Like A Bird: Need entertainment? Want a guitar player for your next dramatic scene or big event? Not only does Sarita busk, she's also for hire as a working musician!
- Homeless Heart: For all of Sarita's stuck-up tendencies and selfish habits, she has a soft heart. She would stop on the road to help a family fix a wheel, and if you show her kindness, she will pay it back. She is also a woman who strongly believes in binding oaths — unless it's something like lying in court (which she would do to save her own skin), she will keep her word to someone. This especially goes for repaying past kindnesses.
- No Touchy the Car: Sheila is the most important thing in life to her. That Sedan is her house, her transporation and her last bastion of safety; messing with her car is a good way to earn her (negative) attention. That being said, any offers to fix or help with the Sedan would be seen as a great kindness.
Tropes and Literary Devices:
- Chaotic Neutral - Type 4, Chaotic Neutralism born of cynicism. At this point in time, she is borderline Chaotic Good, so the right character development can bring her into that mindset. Alternatively, someone who nurtures her more altruistic tendencies will bring her into Neutral Good.
- Street Performer - Sarita busks and has theatrical experience, so she can do more than just perform music.
- Wounded Gazelle Gambit - Sarita can and will manipulate others in order to escape trouble or provide a distraction. The Wounded Gazelle Gambit is a favourite tactic of hers in a pinch, and even sometimes when she really needs money.
- Lovable Alpha Bitch - Would be considered a Justified Trope. Once upon a time, Sarita was snooty enough that she was the kind of person who would point and laugh at the fat kid in school and get everyone else to do it. Years of being served humble pie, however, has mellowed out her attitude enough that she's less like a stuck-up Towerling. Further character development may or may not kill this tendency, but it's highly unlikely she'll completely stop being an "alpha female".
- Light Feminine and Dark Feminine - Played with. Sarita has elements of the Light Feminine trope, but fits much more into the idea of the Dark Feminine woman. She very much could fit in as a scheming noble or a manipulative princess, but at the same time, she's not a vampy man-chaser or utterly brooding.
- The Social Expert - Sarita has an uncanny knack for reading people's body language and their tone of voice. She is very sensitive to the tone of a conversation and the moods of others, and can adjust her reactions, emotions and lies/truths on the fly. If part of a team, she would very happily fill the roll of The Face in order to get slag done. That being said....
- Trying Not To Cry - I wouldn't say she classifies as being emotionally enough to be a Hysterical Woman, but she can and will break in her facade of cool and calm. She will struggle and fight not to cry, but in the end, she will almost always lose. Further character development — whether through being mentally broken, worked with to be tougher, or facing enough situations where her resolve is hardened — may nearly eliminate this trope altogether.
- I Gave My Word - Sarita does not take promises lightly. She will fulfill obligations and vows, but only makes them with people she fully trusts. Because of her current Chaotic Neutral status, this leads into....
- Because You Were Nice to Me - Honour Sarita, and she will honour you back. If you show her kindness, she will repay it to you. There are times where she might flee or be tempted to not pay back the favour, but a part of her conscience will always bug her or outright refuse to let her go.
