Steve and the other Vehicons hit the substation with unspeakable brutality. The skeleton crew of humans was dead instantly or gone into hiding because Decepticons dealt with witnesses like the dealt with everything else that got in their way - they got rid of them. Steve killed one of the technicians as he felt for the parking lot. Pointless. They'd destroyed all the cars in the lot already and the Vehicons road-killed every eye witness before Steve was given the clear to go into bipedal mode and jam Shockwave's device into the massive breaker box of the substation.
Then he backed away as it began to the strange process of draining and siphoning power through the aether to the Nemesis. He collapsed back into car mode and behind him, Bruce muttered, "Soundwave's inside. Company should be here soon. Get going, your part's over."
"Yippee-kai-ai motherfuckers?"
"Yippee-kai-ai. Get out of here."
Steve sped out of the area, a purple sedan blurring out of the area to the nearest highway. No place of a tech-bot on the battle field now. The rest of the fight was for others... and if Soundwave did his job those others would be here soon.

Velocity never understood why they had little human pets in the base but Prime didn't seem to mind so she said nothing. Plus several of the others got along rather well with them even if Vel herself usually had nothing to do with them. Even she though was saddened to hear what was going on but still said nothing. There was no need for her to. It was time to pay attention.
Listening to the Fowler human she she already figured where would be the best place for her to go before even being told. A heavy hitter she was not. Beta and Gamma already drained, they needed to hurry up and move then. The last thing they, or the humans, needed was for the Decepticons to amass more of anything! Faceless wonder spy? Oh, that would be Soundwave then, this would be interesting since that is the place she would be going. She knew him, and he her, from their past intertwined with the same individual.
“Theta, that is what I was thinking.” Tone grim she waited and then just ran right into the ground bridge. Hoping to get through before anyone else just in case the other side was waiting for them. Out of the group that would be going she was probably the one who could take the most damage.
On the other side she didn't see anything when she came through, or rather no 'Cons. Velocity didn't even bother to transform to her alt mode like some did when going into human populated areas. Now was not the time to worry about such things. A parking lot, that was what they called these things. Bright blue optics scanned over the area as she waited to see what they would do now. This was going to be fun, and interesting, even if she was already damaged some from the encounter the day before.
((if anyone has a problem with what I/Vel did lemme know and I will change it ^^))
Blaster was already in a bad mood. Seeing Blue go in to hysterics had really ticked him off. Earlier, ou had watched Ray die at Barricade's hands. That was enough to set ANYONE in to a rotten mood and currently, Blaster in this such mood.
He went through the groundbridge and popped up on the other side beside Velocity. The industrial structures of the power plant came in to full view along with its' sense of chaos.
"Oi! Hey there, Velocity. Lets see about making this quick. I'll go after Sounders and you do what you do best. Agreed?" said Blaster.
Soundwave is wired into the main control room inside.’ Bumblebee, despite his remarkable shade of yellow, came up behind Velocity with alarming stealthiness, moving to stand directly beside her, blue optics dim with focus. He glanced briefly at the gunner (who was a bit taller than him) then back to Blaster. Clearly, he’d just come back from some quick scouting.
‘I’ve forwarded all of you the layout/blueprints for the building and marked the position at the foot of the cooling towers. Vehicon/Eradicon grounders: fifteen. They are defending the south side of the power plant, the only way to directly approach Soundwave’s position. To ‘go after’ Blaster, you’ll have to do it by jacking into the sister control station on the west side, they haven’t destroyed/slagged/fragged that yet. Counter-hack him.’ A beat. ‘unless the plan/idea is to fight through a whole Vehicon/Eradicon unit then take him directly. Blaster, what should we do?’
"Soundwave knows me well enough that I'll probably do something crazy LIKE plowing though a bunch of Raddies. So instead, I'm going to find that console and take it from there. You two... you two will be causing enough chaos for those Raddies to THINK that we are coming that way. That will cause ENOUGH of a distraction for me to do my thing.... and job done. Savey?" said Blaster.
Her optics lit upon Blaster but she didn't seem to be fully seeing him at that moment. She heard him though and just nodded the barest of movements. For some reason Velocity was irritated with the way he just tried to designate things no matter his rank. That never did sit well with her and especially after the war. Though she wasn't going to argue because this was not the time to tear him a new one, maybe later.
That was when suddenly there was Bumblebee and she gave him such a frown for a moment. How he was able to sneak up on her she would never know, it wasn't like he was stealthy in his coloring! Maybe she was just cranky in general, no time to worry about it now, just time to act and react. A slight hiss of sound from her at hearing Soundwave's name again, he was a nasty piece of work. She had worked with him in the past and would now be against him, though not directly. Maybe she could get out of this without being noticed.
“Just point where you want me and I'll cause plenty of commotion.” She was restless and antsy and needed to be doing something and soon. Not being a hacker type, not in the least, she had no say in that matter. “I could just charge right on through them then right back out. Confuse and trip them up, I'm pretty good at that. Get all their attention on us.” Turns so her optics are on Bee now and nods her head. “Sound alright with you?”
‘Alright, Blaster, Soundwave is your department. Arcee is already scouting ahead so the three of us can distract the Cons,’ Bumblebee jerked his head toward the powerplant, EMF brushing Velocity’s as he dropped into his alt and revved his engine to go. ‘Vel, you come with/follow me and we’ll give them something to worry about. If you don’t see Arcee, don’t worry, she’s there but she’ll just come in when we need her. Blaster, just sneak in whenever you can and we’ll keep ‘em off you’
Velocity was still relatively new to their unit and unlike Bumblebee, she hadn’t had time to form the surrogate cohort relationship that Team Prime had developed over the years. Bee knew Arcee’s MO and she knew his, but the scout had very little experience with Velocity or Blaster… no telling what would happen next. The yellow Camero took off for the south side of the power plant, Vel in tow, to where he knew the Vehicons were waiting just beyond the check point-station leading into the base of the cooling towers. Bee took a sharp turn, transformed and rolled into a crouch against the corner of the nearest building, peering around the corner.
‘Vel, whenever you’re ready.’ Bee’s arms reformatted to their mounted cannons. ‘We can start ‘distracting’.’
Soundwave hadn't wasted a moment once he and his unit of vehicons reached their designated power station, completely forgoing the slaughter of humans to reach the power grid's main control room. The only deviation he made was to deploy Laserbeak to scramble the airwaves around the station and keep an eye out for the Autobot resistance he knew would eventually come. Anyone who approached the area would be walking into a radio dead zone, not to mention what his scramblers could do to a mech's scanners.
It took knocking down a portion of one wall, but soon the specialist was plunged into the stations network center, all 8 feelers extended in a mass of cabling throbbing with a light that signaled a massive data transfer and control. Long fingers clicky-clacking on a human sized console, he slipped past the system's ridiculous security and into the grid that controlled the whole west coasts power distribution grid. From there it was little work to hack into each of the seven stations and seize control of the plants' internal components.
It wasn't long before he revived pings from the first of Shockwave's modules, signalling they were in place within the grid. Soundwave began the first power drains immediately, activating a super burn of the first plant's turbines, generators redlining and every volt of the resulting energy burst bypassing the plants first transformers and jumping directly into Shockwave's modules to be siphoned back to the Phantom.
He watched from inside the system as the first plant began to overheat and fial, kicked off the automatic fail safes as the system tried to go into emergency shut down and locked down the site to external interference, the human's pathetic attempts to override him laughable. It wasn't long before the first plant went critical and exploded in a fiery, over-heated mass, the second plant already well on its way to a similar fate.
((OOC: Blaster is going to need to counter-hack Soundwave. Maybe try to get into the grid systems and then individual plants' systems (there will be 5 plants left by the time Blaster gets going) that Soundy has locked everyone out of and trigger the shut down fail safe's to keep the plants from over heating and exploding. Or just lock Soundy out of the systems and normalize the stations so they don't have to trigger fail safes at all. XD Something like that. I seem them grappling for control the whole time, it being a close call both ways the whole time. PM/ IM /Email me if you wanna discuss this more! ^^))
Ahh, she hadn't known that Arcee was scouting ahead, that was good. While Vel wasn't too worried about the smaller Bumblebee she had never really interacted with him, nor Arcee, enough to work seamlessly on a battlefield setting. Prime had faith in them though and their reputations, from the files she had read, were well deserved. The yellow scout transformed into his alt mode and Vel's field registered with a little apprehension before she too changed into hers and sped off with him. The shift hadn't been painful but she could feel that still rather fresh weld pull and tug but hold fast. Hopefully it would continue to stay that way.
Her coloring was darker than his, more black with flashes of red here and there as she easily kept pace with the brighter scout. There wasn't much going on yet, nothing on the way there either. It was like everything was holding it's breath before it all went crazy. Transforming back to her normal form she crouched near Bee, who was a lot smaller than her and felt like she was going to stand out a wee bit much. Didn't matter, standing out would be the point here. All optics on them. Keep attention this way so Blaster could go do his thing, what he was good at.
“Now is as good of a time as any Bee, let's put on quite a display!” Her grin was wide and the excitement she felt obvious through both expression and field. This was going to be a lot of fun. She would get to smash some heads and put on a grand show. Velocity knew how terribly distracting she could be and she was going to use it for all it was worth. Tall, brightly colored in some spots and oh those energon blades of hers tended to catch the optics rather well. “Hopefully Arcee will be done scouting soon so she can come have fun with us. I would love to share this.”
Blaster wasted no time in making his way to the west console. Already he was feeling angry. The image of Bluestreak being upset and distraught was fresh in his mind. If anything, Blaster wanted to finish Soundwave off quickly. That meant he may have to break a few rules. Typically, the very idea of breaking his own rules was unsettling to him. But today was different. This very moment was different. Everything was different.
Blaster knew that those human sized keys on the console were going to be difficult for his fingers to use. Instead, he took a seat by the console and with the long cable from his wrists, he attached it to a space on the console. He closed his eyes and began to work.
‘Great,’ chirped Bee, then promptly scampered up the side of the building, perfectly silent, disturbing not a brick as he monkey-clung up the side of the building and onto the roof. ‘Wait for my signal/the sound of shooting.’ And then he was gone over the roof and darting to his pre-planned position, systems overclocked with anticipation, hummed with focus. He pinged Arcee his location and vague impressions of his poor, slightly poorly conceived, yes, but Bee tended to do things this way. It would work out. Always did.
Bee jumped.
The Vehicons were expecting an attack, obviously, but they probably didn’t expect it in quite the way it happened. Bumblebee jumped off the roof at speed and landed on two Vehicons, slamming his fists into the back of their helms and plowing both of them into the pavement. The other Con walking in front of them spun at the sound but Bee was on top of him by then, tackling him to the ground and knocking him to the concrete behind stack of pylons.
::Three down!:: chirped Bee from behind his new cover, crouching to fire at the startled crowd of Vehicons. ::Flank them! Let’s distract the slag out of them!::
Arcee had split up from Bumblebee to investigate other means of entry into the blockaded power station, while ‘bee rendezvous with the arriving Autobots. Arcee had proceeded to skim through Bumblebee’s blueprint layouts of the facility searching for overlooked weak points. The area was pretty well sealed up tight since the ‘con invaded and took over the complex.
Perhaps, sealed tight to most normal size mechs, anyway.
Barricade had shoved her down through enough tight crevices (much to her displeasure) on the occasional necessary infiltration jaunts to have an idea on how to pinpoint unconventional entrances. As such, Arcee scored a way in from the underground piping system connected to the cooling towers which meandered underneath the rest of power station. The entry point into the piping maze was a discharge point at a nearby river a short distance away from the ransacked facility.
Arcee shuttered as she squirmed through the narrow tunnel, which was proving to be a tight fit then expected. The discharge water pushed against her and the slick algae-covered sides slowed down her progress considerably. She shifted her side plating uncomfortable, strands of lichens and other vegetation tangled in her joints and snagged between armor seams. Her ungraceful dive into the river had landed her straight in a deep spot filled with dense reeds and muck.
Primus on a piston! Arcee jolted as she paused in her army crawl. Something or more then one thing was wiggling wedged between her back and ankle hydraulic cables!
Arcee’s rampant and undignified mental rambling was abruptly intrupted by a weak location ping, but the signal was so scramble she couldn’t distinguish the sender or precise location. The femme only hoped the signal originated from ‘bee as they discussed before splitting up. Accompanying vibrations from above the tunnel further convinced the subermged femme a battle was taking place up her.
Wasting no time, Arcee braced her pedes against the piping. She charged her blasters to blow a hole in the top of the tunnel ahead of her, while at the same time praying she didn’t crush herself in breaching the pipe’s integrity. A whine emitted from her blasters, super heating the water around her into vapor. A blinding flash exploded forth.
Above ground in the growing mayhem from Bumblebee’s surprise attack, dirt and concrete spewed upward raining down debris on the distracted Vehicons. Two Vehicons turned to face the new source of commotion rising from the streaming crater. Arcee leapt up from her lower position triggering off a laser volley, striking the Vehicons in the gut, and disabling them.
An irate Arcee rolled to her pedes, steamy vapors rolling off her mud and lichen-cover armor, and yanked two very dead and charbroiled fish from her back and ankle hydraulic cables. Grunting, she whipped the dead fish at the back of a Vehicon’s helm which was about to fire on Bumblebee.
Velocity watched Bumblebee scale the side of the building like one of those human monkey creatures. She had come across some of them one time in a very leafy area referred to as a jungle. She couldn't help but grin as the images overlapped in her mind. After he vanished she was set to waiting, something she could do fairly well depending on what was going on. Her back plating twitched in anticipation and instead of deciding to play sniper she planned on focusing more on her dual energon blades. Why was she wanting to jump in the thick of things? Why not, what else was better!
Then she heard a familiar sound, Bee must have attacked. Looking around the corner she saw the smaller yellow mech take down three of the enemies and she grinned even bigger. Team Prime was pretty talented it seemed, or at least that one was. Velocity ran directly out from the cover then startling several other vehicons before she just jumped on one. Being bigger than the bot she landed on it hard, this was one of her favorite tactics for melee since she was a large femme. A quick flick of her wrist and she took out that one and turned to face the other when Arcee came out and distracted everyone.
“Oh Arcee that is just disgusting! How nasty.” Both her tone and field betrayed exactly how gross she thought the other femme was at the moment and she did a full plate shuddering before taking her second blade and stabbing it deep within the second vehicon. And wrenching it back and forth. “You will need such a cleaning!”
The momentary distraction was now over and the little battle was back on. Every vehicon just a little more alert just in case another Autobot popped out of nowhere.

Bee was entirely too gleeful about saying this, simultaneously kicking the knees out from the Vehicon who was too distracted by the fish to defend himself. The scout kicked him to his knees, frog jumped him and put a disabling shot though the mech’s back strut. Funny thing about Vehicons, they often took too much time to kill properly but you could disable them if you knew what you were doing and disable them fast. Bee knew what he was doing generally. The key was to not let them get their bearings or else they got just as dangerous as any other soldier so Bee kept moving, ducking, darting, dive-rolling and keeping to the peripheral of their vision.
‘Cee! Cee! You have something on your face!’ Several things actually. Giggles. A fired shot and another Con went down, screaming but Bee was quick to ignore the sound that used to bother him. His next disabling blow knocked the enemy offline. Two of his fellows came at him in vengeance but Bee saw that coming and flipped back into vehicle mode, engine screaming, reversing hard, slaloming back and forth amid a hail of gunfire before he twisted hard right, flipped back into his root mode and put four shots into their chassis, knocking them down but not disabling them.
Bee chirp whirred something extremely rude, flashing his headlights in an impudent manner before dashing to Arcee and taking up a defensive position at her back opening fire on the remaining Cons. Over encrypted comm:::Blaster? Position/ETA? You got Soundwave?::

::Yeah. I'm over at the west console already and I've started doing my thing. Just keep being a distraction and I'll work my magic,:: Blaster commed back.
He was already at work getting in to the system when he was stopped yet again. He could see Soundwave's handiwork beginning to show and he could sense his fellow rival in the system.
All the station's power was being siphoned away at a rapid pace. It was all going *somewhere.* But first thing's first was to kick Soundwave out of the system. Blaster knew what his rival was like. Almost like an old friend. Only their relationship was hardly that.
And that was when Blaster started to punch away at Soundwave's defenses.
