Roulette was starting to suspect, and this was just a theory mind you, that Flatline had issues. Sure, most of the Cons had issues by now. (Skywarp had most of them.) And it wasn't a surprise that the twitchy mech chasing her through the medbay was likely harboring some sort of projected worship of Shockwave that conflicted with the newb proxies own idea of what the head scientist should be like. She'd seen this slag before.
Over and over.
For every unwilling proxy like Roulette, there were countless others who coveted the position to work for the brilliant scientist. And nearly every single expectation they harbored shattered like brittle glass when they finally got to work with the mech. That Shockwave was a brilliant mech wasn't the issue. It was that he was also such a fragging moron at times. Roulette personally liked to think he was a sort of idiot savant with obsessive tendencies. And she also liked to think the only reason she was still functioning around him was that there had never been a pedestal she'd put him on. She'd hated him from the very start and hadn't seen fit to rearrange that point of view just yet.
Still, it was startling when Flatline grabbed her and whirled her around to face him. Once over the wide-opticed surprise, she glared at his chest and absolutely refused to look up at his face. He'd have to hunch over or step back if he wanted a proper conversation, slaggit. And all the while he just kept talking!
Unlikely.
You clearly haven't been working around the mech long enough and been subject to his delightful mid-recharge tasks.
What.
When he was finished, Roulette just stood there a moment in silence trying to decide on an action. Kicking him and fleeing was very appealing. She didn't think his silly, little legs would hold him up if she kicked one of them hard enough and he didn't expect it. Than again...all the noise would wake Shockwave up. Oh bother, she was just going to have to address the issue head on and talk with him about it. Ugh.
"Ok. Let me see if I can address this in an order you'll understand." She shrugged her shoulders and drew herself up straighter. Mostly to see if she could shake herself free of his grip. "The only thing "unusual" about Shockwave is Shockwave. We're not going to address my sleep cycles. The only situation here is the one you're creating. If you try and move him, he'll wake up. If he wakes up, he'll go back to working until he wears himself down again. Have you ever known him to leave the lab that wasn't for some lab related purpose?"

"Hold up! Maybe this is part of what's... wr-unsusual about Shockwave."
Unlikely.
"Think of how fragged up you would be if you never got any proper rest."
You clearly haven't been working around the mech long enough and been subject to his delightful mid-recharge tasks.
"Have you ever TRIED to fix this situation? Or do you just flee from it. I bet you can't even figure out a solution if you wanted to."
What.
