Deuce was quick to simply brush off the question, paying his injury no mind. Saying he'd leave it to self repair unless the joint was becoming permanently stiff. With the theatrics out of the way he smirked at her again and delivered the best news she'd heard from the moment she woke up on the floor of her pod.
Someone had picked up the line.
The flier then opened a second channel, merging the two frequencies into one. Shale gave a good natured roll of her eyes as Deuce claimed he saw her first, a smile crossing her lips then fading away almost as quickly.
"As he said, we're currently sitting in the middle of nowhere and my arm is pretty messed up. Piece of glass decided to get a little too friendly. I'm sending my position to you now."
Shale sent the last coordinates that her ship had given her, and as if on cue there was a groan from the vessel. It shuddered before the pod shifted in the dirt and several bits of metal broke away from the shell. A flurry of embers flew out and up toward the dark sky and Shale felt a wave of hot air wash over her.
"Oh frag."
Shale mumbled as she stared at what was left of the vessel.
"Sorry, my ship just officially died. Oh, one more thing."
She wiped more fluids off her arm and cleaned the gore off her digits in the grass before continuing.
"There is probably not much about me in whatever database you have, I procrastinated until right before the exodus to join up. You're free to fully search me when you get here, I have no weapons. Fighting is not my thing... so I promise to behave."
She hoped she wouldn't be scrutinized too harshly but fully expected it. There was a war going on all around them and there would undoubtedly be suspicion of new comers to the fold.
"I'd just like to see a medic before the night is over... please."
