Name/Alias: Echo.
Age: 17.
CHARACTER INFO
Name: Patch.
Age: Last-sparked. Late teens to early twenties.
Gender: Femme.
Species: Cybertronian.
Faction: Autobot.
Occupation/Specialization: Combat medic.
Appearance:
Frametype: Grounder.
Height: Optic level to Bumblebee’s chin.
Build:11 on the femme chart, 12 on the mech chart.
Overall appearance:
The femme’s plating is white, with red detailing for field recognition, devoid of any particularly sharp edges. With scratches and scars drawn here and there, spattered intermittently across the whole of her frame.
The armor on her head is white and rounded, with inset crimson accents, that run through the centers of the segments of her helm. She has a wide, flat, silver crest in the center, that runs back, and stops just before it reaches her “crown”. In the center of this crest, is yet another red accent, which follows the curve of her helm as well.
Her face is silver, and rounded, almost heart shaped, with bright blue optics, and tiny flecks of metallic imperfection at her cheeks, and above her eyebrows; the left of which, is cut cleanly through, in a silver streak of a scar.
Her chest is very nearly flat in the front, with a small, crimson Autobot insignia fused to her frame atop her spark. When in root mode, clean, clear LED headlights come to rest over her shoulder-blades, on either side of a crimson push bar.
The femme’s hands are unpainted and silver, fully articulated, and fully exposed with no guards over the backs, or reinforcements. The tips of her fingers are blunted, and smooth, and her digits are often lightly scratched around the joints and edges.
Her legs are fully armored with thin white plating, Her knee guards flat, and silver, and blunted and constantly scraped. Her tires function as the rear of her peds, with small, solid, blunt toe pieces in front for balance.
Altmode: An EMS fly car. 2013 Dodge charger, all wheel drive, with lights, siren and -perhaps most notably- a push bar at the front of her grille.
Here’s a video of the vehicle I had in mind.

History: Patch emerged from the well of Allsparks somewhere near the middle, to the beginning of the war, very close to the time it was ejected to the stars.
She worked hard in basic to become a soldier, and even harder in advanced individual training to become a combat medic. She knew what she was getting herself into when her unit finally joined the fray.
They all knew.
This is where patch made her first confirmed kill… Her first three, actually.
There was another series of battles. Every one of them different, and yet all of them somewhat the same… Until Patch was wounded by bio-shrapnel from one of her patients.
She was rushed to a field hospital in Uraya, having taken severe damage to a fuel-pump, and the components responsible for the filtration of nitrogen. During her recovery, Patch got to talking with the medics taking care of her. In the closing weeks, once she was able to walk, she even assisted them in the care of those worse off than herself.
Once she was back to a clean bill of health, Patch was given an offer to remain at the hospital; both to continue her work, and to further her training. As her original unit had since been mustered out, Patch made the decision to stay.
She eventually became sick, from the people she was caring for during an outbreak of cylinder rust. She did recover fully from that as well.
She continued serving at the hospital. Learning to assist in an operating theater, eventually being taught to take over… Until word came, that the Decepticons were moving to make an attack on Iacon.
They held their position, until the hospital was taken.
Patch escaped, after having evacuated the patients. She went back to the field, now with more knowledge than ever before. She was placed with a unit, assigned to one of the trenches at the border between Uraya and Iacon.
Once Iacon had been taken, and the Ark had left, Patch decided to remain on her homeworld, and try to help those left alive. Needless to say, there were plenty in the city, and she found herself busy for a good long time. She continued this work until everyone in her care, (and the care of the other medics with whom she had aligned) had either died of their wounds, or recovered enough to move on, and try to find a new place for themselves. With nothing left to do, Patch began searching for another place to be of use…
Then came the call…
Personality: Patch… is a hugger. She is the sort of femme who’ll always give you a smile. She has a great sense for people, no sense for boundaries, and somewhat of an impaired sense of personal space. She, is, an extravert.
I’ve gotcha: Patch is a hard worker, and deeply committed to her job. She would never turn her back on someone who needs help. Period. “looking the other way” is something she has never been capable of, hence her career choice.
Child at spark: She believes that growing up is a myth. “being an adult” is something that she was expected to do from a very early age. To her, it’s something you carry, but not something you become.
My fight too: Patch is a tomboy, and a force to be reckoned with. She loves being viewed as a valuable member of her team, and will struggle to be seen as more than just some kid.
Fighting dirty: Patch served in the trenches. She is a frontliner. She’s been fighting since an age most would consider unreasonable, and she has never known anything else. If reason is no longer in the picture? She can become a vicious little spitfire, in combat or otherwise.
In short? Trust is precious, respect is earned, and affection is necessary.
Anyone who thinks otherwise, doesn't need to like her back...
Likes: People worthy of her trust, sweets and treats -just as a general concept- a place where it’s safe to show people her affection, and access to showers with hot cleanser… also cussing.
Dislikes: Disrespect, people who think they’re worth more than others, circumstances in which she can’t do the right thing, interrogation in any regard performed by either faction, and rules that don’t make sense.
Strengths/Weapons:
Physical:
“Pew Pew” glitch fragger: Blasters. Patch has two integrated photon pistols, one in either arm. They aren't particularly devastating weapons, but they can fire very quickly, especially when going back and forth between the two. She likes them for coverfire, and up close -if she threw everything she had into them- they could probably still do some damage.
Ohh, I’ve seen some: Trench knife. She also has a handheld trench-knife with a knuckle-guard, with which she is fairlynightmarish adept. Her combat style with this weapon is not particularly refined. She does know where the proverbial “soft spots” are being a medic, but besides that which she learned in basic, there isn't always much actual technique… Which can, serve to make her unpredictable…
A very hard hitter: Push bar. A rounded “H” shaped hunk of metal at the center of her back, and the Grille of her alt-mode. Patch can use this baby to nudge her opponents -namely grounders- into a spin while they’re driving, or even ram into them at velocity. She could also use it to move debris, and -if things are truly dire? larger patients; by assuming vehicle mode, and shoving them to cover until someone larger can transport them properly.
The push bar itself can detach at will, leaving two silver, exposed, carabiner-like locks with bare points in her armor directly around them. When it is attached, the holds are very sturdy. She could be picked up full off the ground by the thing, with minimal discomfort.
Personal:
Just a little farther: Speed. Patch is fast. Perhaps not so agile as a seeker, or a two wheeler, but what she lacks in grace, she makes up for with endurance. In vehicle mode, and on her feet.
Feel free to tapout: Grappling. She can wrestle. Both from time spent in the trenches and from roughhousing with the other grounders in basic. She’s not afraid to utilize holds, pressure points, anything she needs to in order to gain the upper hand. She could probably manage to control someone around her size, with relative ease, with or without hurting them. As for a larger frame?... well, time will tell won’t it…
Hold still, let me see it: Medicine. She has her own medical kit.
Which contains:
1) A small white medical scanner, with a red racing stripe along the back. 2) Anesthetic syrrettes. 3) A pen-like laser-scalpel. 4) A few other “standard” surgical instruments; forceps, bladed scalpels, hemostatic clamps, etc. 5) Two red markers. 6) A very small, round Cybertronian flashlight. 7) Adhesive tape. 8) Small black tarps, for energon concealment in low light scenarios. 9) A zip-tied bundle of Zip-ties. 10) A few small squares of tinfoil. 11) A few very tiny springs that don’t appear to belong to anything specific. 12) A set of new vent filters. 13) Adhesive, and non-adhesive mesh pads. 14) Cleansers and anticorrosives. 15) Medical grade oil. 16) A few clean cloths. 17) A small bottle of surgical coolant.
The kit itself is red, and shaped like a backpack. It has a handle at the top, though it can also attach to the locks at her back, or the push bar itself while she’s in root-mode.
Weaknesses:
Physical: The three spots she’s most vulnerable would be;
Not the face!: Her face, is completely uncovered, in battle and otherwise. As her job revolves so heavily around awareness of those around her, and her ability to communicate clearly, Patch has opted not to install any additional guards, or covers to her faceplate.
The real money makers: Her hands are virtually unprotected. As a medic, Patch needs as much flexibility in her digits as is possible. That means no reinforcements, no locking mechanisms, no nothin’.
Gotta go fast: The insides of her wheel wells, would be a devastating blow to the femme. Rubber earth tires don’t fare well against heat, and the exposed metal around them is fairly sensitive as well. A hard enough hit here, would likely cripple her in both her forms.
She also has gaps in her plating around her neck, and the backs of all her joints. Her vents are at the upper to middle portion of her back, and at the backs of her struts. Even in the spots that are fully protected, she values lightness and agility over “tankiness” so, she’ll probably sustain some damage to those spots as well.
Personal:
Did I hit em?: Aim. Though Patch is a fighter by nature, she isn't necessarily by trade. What she was trained for was mostly close combat, and patient defense. When it comes to distance, she’s at a bit of a loss.
Just, do it!: Patience. Patch doesn't always look before she leaps. Her way to solve problems, is often quite literally to run towards them. That’s not always a good idea, and she doesn't always listen when people tell her so.
Don’t go there: Empathy. Patch would have a very strong response to the idea of leaving someone behind, or leaving them wounded and unattended for an extended period.
She gets attached to people. Quickly. She’s found she likes to love, more than she hates to grieve, so… by extension... she tends to grieve a lot.
Uhhh… Nooo?: Lying. Patch… is an unfortunate liar. She generally sticks to a code of honesty as often as she can (and confidential information is confidential) But when it comes to secrets, or deliberate dishonesty? she likely won’t be particularly convincing.
It’s just too still in here: Being alone. Patch hates the quiet. She likes to be near other people, constantly, and if she can’t, she’s found the whir of computers or inactive medical equipment can be an okay substitute.
Nope!: Phobias. Lastly, she has somewhat of an unreasonable fear of being smelted alive, and a slightly less unreasonable fear of being completely restrained, held down, or trapped in her own body.
Special Skills:
Medicine: Patch, is a confident medic. She can easily disable pain receptors, close wounds, perform diagnostics and minor repairs. She can assist confidently in surgery. She’s even performed her own -though under extenuating circumstances. Patch is a combat medic, anything she can do, she can do in a cave, in the dark, under fire.
On the other hand, though she is very practiced with wound care and closure, she’s not so great with labs. During her time in Uraya, she mostly worked with patients directly, and before that she was nearly always in the field. Chemistry and programing -beyond the basics- are not her strong suits.
Quick thinker: Patch has some serious listening skills. She can catch information as it whizzes past, and spit out the appropriate response with ease; all with a level of “casual conversation” she prides herself on.
Creativity: Patch has worked with next to nothing, in the worst of conditions, on mecha literally torn to shreds. She’ll do whatever it takes to get you back to the way you were, using anything she can get her servos on. She knows very well how to make due with old equipment, and she knows how -and when- to be frugal with resources.
