Rain had sort of hoped that Cloud would sit down too, but for whatever his reason, he hadn't. She didn't look but thought about what she knew of his frame from her brief glances. It was possible that he simply could not sit on the ground as she did. A species such as theirs did not really consume much energy standing still nor place undue stress on their joints. A sure advantage of their biomechanical status. But he did seem to relax his posture more so that made Rain happy. What made her excited was his answer.
“Five!?...Thousand!?” Rain was astonished and enraptured. Her optic blazed azure as she tuned her excited face to Cloud. “By Onyx Prime’s Tryptcyh Mask…” Rain tilted her head back and chuckled. The number of planets Cloud had visited was just too far beyond her imagination. She was completely delighted, while appalled at her own measly experience.
“I don't know how to wrap my processor around that.” She admitted once she had managed to regain a semblance of sanity. Rain was simply boggled, and she was absurdly delighted to be so.
It was several minutes before she could think clearly again about anything at all other than the ridiculous experience embodied in her companion. She slightly shook her head as she began her reply to Cloud’s question.
“I had a friendly ferry mech, a lot of us did.” After a moment Rain decided to elaborate. “The great Space Bridges were shut-down before I was sparked, the story goes there was fear of a spreading rust plague. Few Cybertronians made it off planet in the years since though some did for various reasons. For the first half of the war, me and many others poured every resource we possibly could into evacuating the animals, and gave them a fighting chance. We made it to six different planets in the end. Only afterwards I joined the Autobots. Several years ago, there was a great exodus from Cybertron, the majority of the Decepticon and Autobot forces leaving our home behind. On the Nemesis and the Ark respectively. That wasn't me. It was rushed so many missed the call. Afterwards Autobots like myself manage to follow with the help of a Mech who is irrevocably integrated with his ship. He ferries lost sparks like myself to the base here on Earth. So this is my eighth planet.” Rain hoped she wasn't being too verbose. She had already annoyed her leader by going down that path.
“Ok, what is the biggest, completely self-mobile lifeform you can recall?” Rain was enjoying this, her curiosity barely sated at all.
