The push-prop femme was quite a bit into the air before Cloudcompass moved to transform himself. In three long strides he had enough momentum to jump up and curl forward, giving him more than enough clearance off the ground. Metal stretched and plating bent to shape as the shift washed over his frame, and soon enough he was soaring up to meet Rain.
Initially breezing past her, his thrust decreased drastically in tandem with a forward sweep of his wings. A few minor adjustments later, and CC was comfortably flying just ahead and a generously ‘polite’ distance to the right of the smaller femme’s alt- cruising just above a normal jet’s stalling range. While it was…. Slow, to be sure, it was still nice enough. The rising sun was warm against his plating, and such a languid pace did allow for a more relaxing flight.
Keeping that in mind, he chose to let Rain decide what she wanted to do with this flight- she’d suggested it after all, and while he perhaps wasn’t too inclined to perform any kind of fancy acrobatics at the moment- he didn’t particularly care in the end. CC opened their commline to respond- this time making sure it would not be overheard- and sent as much.
::Your decision…::
The jet almost left it at that, pulling ahead for a couple of seconds before slowing once more as he adjusted a bit further to keep pace. He was just a bit faster, and had to remember it. After a moment however, he tentatively added;
::You are far more agile than I, I believe::
As a flier capable of such versatile speeds and the acrobatics that came with, Cloudcompass would be lying if he said he wasn’t just a bit proud of his skill. Next to Rain, however, such a small but refined alt, he’d likely be far out-maneuvered. He wondered what she would choose, now curious to see if his guess was right.
