Confusion bloomed across his processor, expression stilled between a smirk and half-furrowed brows. That’s the second time now- what- had Thundercracker actually believed Scream would get him killed? The thought troubled him, exactly why was- uh. He couldn’t quite- and then TC was darting across the room and-
“Yeee-oup!” Skywarp started as he was pulled up unto his pedes and hugged by a teary-eyed Thundercracker. It was amusing for sure, but snagged the mech’s spark in a curious fashion best ignored- and the purple-black jet didn’t hesitate to squeeze the ever-loving primus out of his trinemate in turn. Horribly appalling entrance completely forgotten, if the seeker felt sore from any of the dents he now sported, it didn’t show.
“Aw Thunder…” He didn’t really know where to go on from there, or what to do with the lingering bemusement, so he turned to what was more familiar.
“Of course I’m not dead ya bolt head- takes more than that.” That could be any number of things, but if his own ill-thought-out schemes hadn’t yet killed him, very little would at this point. Despite the teasing Skywarp tightened his grip on his brother, holding it a moment before pulling away to sling an arm around TC’s shoulders instead. It was- nice. To have his long-missing trinemate back. His spark constricted in its casing, something still pulling at it, niggling- but outwardly Skywarp only smirked and turned to address Starscream.
“Yea, sorry ‘bout that my mech.” His sheepish tone belied an utterly unapologetic, grinning expression. Crimson optics bright, he would shrug. “Time got away from me, yadda-yadda yack yack. I’m here now!”
His gaze narrowed, grin turning into something altogether more wicked without any warning.
“Been a while though Star! C’mere!”
Faster than any mech had any right to be given the rough landing, Skywarp slipped his arm from TC’s shoulders and bounded across the office to ensnare Starscream in his own bearhug. Well-versed in his trinemate’s ways it wouldn’t be too hard to catch the silver seeker, and even give him a teasing rapping on the helm in a kind of cybertronian-nuggie if he hadn’t slipped out of the hug by then.
“Guess I did worry ya though, huh?” Despite the chuckles that coloured the first half of his sentence, Skywarp’s tone fell into something relatively more serious, his grin lost its edge. This was something akin to an apology- or as close to a sincere one as most could usually get from the purple menace. He hadn’t really thought his absence would be noticed, or that it would bother Starscream much. The other had been… busy after the whole Nemesis mess. Thundercracker hadn’t been heard of for a long time anyway at that point, so how was he to know his long-left trinemate would turn up? Thinking about it made him feel a bit heavy again, a bit… put out even, as if he’d drunk contaminated Energon- so he opted to not.
Instead he quickly chirped again, “Well I’m here now! Whadid’I miss?”
He never did like to dwell on not-fun things.
