Week 4, Day 1 - North America, U.S. Arizona: The Grand Canyon...
_______________________________________________________________________
Many secrets lie within the endless cracks and cliffs of the Canyon's walls. The land is so vast that majority of its secrets can be easily overlooked, especially by any wandering human eyes. The only creatures aware of these treasures are the insects and wildlife that help unearth some of these secrets, however such discoveries mean nothing to them. The locations of these artifacts are never being shared with anything other than the dry gusts of wind that sweeps by briefly, acknowledging the artifacts form and shape before disappearing around the bend. Some of these treasures share truth about ancient civilizations, prehistoric creatures and even things from out of this world...
The sun was blazing brightly in the afternoon sky as cicadas buzzed away in scattered and thin mesquite trees. There was not a cloud in the sky and the temperature was very hot. Tucked away in the walls of the Canyon sat a small cliff, and embedded in the crease where the cliff meets one of the tall canyon walls sat a very damaged and strange looking pod. The earth around the pod was torn up and singed, clearly showing that this pod had crashed. Things seemed to be so still and quiet, though that was the complete opposite from what was happening inside the damaged object.
A steady red blinking light and a quiet beeping sound began to rhythmically go off from the console. After a few minutes a hissing sound began as a door to a small chamber from within the pod had opened, revealing a very groggy, tired and weak mech. Reaching up to grab the side of the chamber's doorframe for support, the mech lazily missed his reach and stumbled to the floor in the main cabin of the pod. He didn't realize it, but he had been immobile for a long while and his frame was in the middle of a reboot.
"Ouch..." Blurr groaned, using the near by pilot chair to pull himself back up. Once his bright cyan optics rebooted fully, he glared at his surroundings, which was nothing but darkness and a pathetic blinking red bulb that functioned as his only light source. The inside of the pod was pretty banged up and the cyan speedster slowly and carefully made his way to the pod's door and trying to push it open... though it didn't budge.
"Oh come on. You can't be serious, I'm not getting trapped in here." Blurr complained, taking out his laser pistols and rapidly firing at the jammed door, unloading both of his clips in the process. He then put his weaponry away and kicked the weakened metal a few times until he eventually broke through it. The sunlight flooded into the pod and Blurr peaked his helm out, his optics widening at the sight before him. There was absolutely nothing but huge cliffs... and the true terror? There was nowhere for the speedster to run. "What is this. There is no way this is where the signal came from is it? How am I supposed to get down from here? Primus,Ican'tbelievethisiswhereIendupoutofALLcircumstances." He ranted to himself as he took cautious steps out of the pod, trying to not lose his balance like before. He wasn't sure why, but he couldn't help but take small steps closer to the edge, wondering how far it actually went. Though once he was a few feet from the edge and realized that he still couldn't see the bottom, he jumped back and slowly went back to the pod, leaning up against it. He wasn't taking the risk so here is where he'll have to stay for now. Blurr, still low on energy from his travels and surprisingly not too badly injured, he activated his distress signal and realized he had no other option but to wait for a rescue. He slowly slid down the side of the pod's exterior plating and sat on the ground, looking at the strange world around him. He subconsciously rocked his ped back and forth rapidly in a nervous fashion, for he could only hope there were actually Autobots nearby...
