Although he didn’t know it, Nathan was in the same boat as Bumblebee on a few matters. He never did like hearing the sound of his own voice when it was played back to him, a fact that had made his task of helping to write up after-action reports with his special forces team a bit annoying as they would have to go through the radio logs from the mission. He also knew the worth of what he was holding and how damaging it would be if MECH got hold of it. While he was quite sure that MECH hadn’t connected the dots between him and the Autobots, there was always the chance that would happen.
As such, he decided that this tape wouldn’t leave the confines of the base and that it would be under lock and key when not in use, as well as being labeled with something else besides ‘Bumblebee vocal dictionary’.
Canadian Folk Music Mixtape perhaps?
Anything that would help to convince someone not in the know that the tape was worthless and not worth listening to.
Going through the rest of his list was easy enough, though it was interesting watching Bumblebee using his fingers to count on the list of numbers. If only MECH could have seen that...a mechanical being having to use their fingers to count. Might deliver a blow to their argument that the Autobots were nothing more than machines to be exploited...but then again there was no arguing with fanatics.
Nathan knew that better than most.
Once they had finished Nathan shut off the recording device and made a checkmark next to each word as a note that it had been recorded, then looked up as Bumblebee began speaking before he moved over and got the lady to speak for him. The suggestion was logical and he was a bit embarrassed that he didn’t think of it himself.
“Sure! Should we divide my name up into pieces as well as using the combinations?” he asked.
