Name: Barricade
Age (or human equivalent): young adult, early 30's
Gender (or human equivalent): Male
Species: Cybertronian
Faction: Decepticon
Occupation/Specialization: Infiltrator/field lieutenant/ trained pilot - Originally sparked in law enforcement cohort
Appearance/Altmode: His alt mode is standard police issue black and gray Ford Mustang Saleen S281 Extreme. Barricade's bi-pedal form is not as large as alot of his fellow decepticons. He's got a taller, slenderer design than his four-wheel alt would suggest. His hands are serrated claws and all his plates tend to end in points. He's redesigned a bit since he took his Earth alt, and most of his visible plating is black, the white and gray plating folding into internal components that are largely not apparent. There is white and black metal bandinga cross his face, and a back-sweaping two-point headcrest for his helm. In battle, a black alloy face gaurd closes over the lower half of his face.
For reference he looks a bit like THIS in coloring and appearance, but his body design is a bit like THIS And he tend to always be smirking.
Personality: Cade is a huge and vocal skeptic and likes to play the devil’s advocate for every plan of action, but his skills are such that Megatron doesn’t often threaten to kill him… even when he’s questioning the warlord. (At least, it was that way back on Cybertron.) In general, Cade is sarcastic deadpan-snarker with a penchant for pushing others buttons for the fun of it, which can make him unpopular in general but in a combat or life-threatening situation, he's a mechanism you want at your back. He has an enforcer-mech's predisposition to work with partners... but rarely.
Despite Barricade's loner tendencies, he's got a keen sense of loyalty to his cause and his fellow Decepticons... though that doesn't mean he won't troll them for sheer restless boredom. His friends and allies who know him best will understand that, despite his frequent disappearances, Barricade always comes back with his loyalties intact. His allegiance to Megatron is not mindless, its worse, it's pragmatic and calculated. You can try to talk him out of it, but it's not going to work; he's more likely to try to deconstruct your own beliefs.
Likes: Getting things done, getting one over on others, racing, pushing people's buttons
Dislikes: Staying in one place, being inefficient, trusting others
History: Barricade was a former deep-cover law enforcement mech who went Decepticon during the uprising. To be less vague, he served on an enforcer spec-ops team called Maverick as their recon field operative, often going deep into Kaon and infiltrating criminal networks. One of his teammates was Arcee, in whom he placed a significant about of trust. During his time in Kaon he met and was influenced by the movement sparked by Megatronus and in time became a double agent for the revolutionary.
A speed demon and a brutal leader on the battlefield, he rose through the ranks quickly during the war to become one of Megatron's most trusted operatives. During this time, he trained as an officer under air commander Starscream and developed an exceptional grasp of physics and aeronautics. He served briefly as pilot on the Nemesis. When Cybertron fell, however, Barricade was reassigned on a 200 year recon mission to bring down an Autobot intelligence team called the Lucky Thirteen and recover data about a weapon .
He successfully recovered the data, killed all but one of the Thirteen and returned to Megatron's side on earth where he serves again as infiltrator and ship engineer. There hasn’t been a decent ‘battlefield’ in a while but Cade’s been making due by diverting to his other past time of hunting down and killing the slag out of stray Autobots; in particular he likes to take out intelligence operatives, scouts, and tends to target bondmates during battle, often taking out one and leaving the other alive.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
Special Skills He can pick a pair of stasis cuffs in ten seconds flat. He's also an expert fighter pilot and trained under Starscream on matter of applied temporal physics and is an authority on aeronautics, aerodynamics, and Cybertornian space-capable ships. If something breaks on the Nemesis, he tends to know what and how to fix it.
Extra Info: Megatron might trust Barricade more than either of them let on. Lost his cassette partner Frenzy during the War.

Strengths:
- Close Quarters Killer – Barricade is one of the most vicious close combat fighters you’ll ever meet, despite his size. He's highly acrobatic, tricky, fights dirty, and knows when to call it quits. He currently works with a pair arm blades when serrated claws fail to do the job.
- Combat Racer – Cade is infamous for killing Bots while in vehicle mode by incensing them to attack, then leading them into deadly terrain only he can navigate or out maneuvering them so they crash and burn. He swaps effortlessly between alt and root mode in battle, making for a half-car, half-bot fighting style - swapping size to avoid hits.
- Push Your Buttons – As a Megatron’s top infiltrator and field recon agent, Cade is very, very good at getting under your mesh and finding those triggers that make you do stupid things.
- Strong as Your Strongest Link - Barricade is spark-aligned to very powerful mechanoid and like all quantum-bound spark-pairs, he shares strength with his partner. There is no visible indicator that Barricade might be stronger than he looks and this can take opponents of guard.
Weaknesses:
- Lightweight – Barricade is actually pretty hardy in general, but he's just not very big. Does not have raw physical strength like say Bulkhead or Breakdown. He can be overpowered if caught so tackling him and sitting on him is not, actually, a bad strategy.
- Overly Secretive – Has trust issues miles deep. He is always double talking, lying, scheming, or charming and never shows his hand... even when it might benefit him to just be honest. Damages his alliances long-term.
- Long Range – He is only an effective close-combat and mid-range fighter.
- Partners – Barricade's enforcer background comes out when his partners are threatened. He tends to prioritize their well-being over a victory and take pains to keep them alive. Target his partners and he may well abandon the fight... but take it a bit personal.
- Hacking/Coding – Barricade has sturdy firewalls to prevent getting hacked but he is bad at doing any kind of hacking or coding or programming himself. He has to torture info from victims, not just download it from their heads. Sucks at warding off cyber attacks from fellow Cybertronians of mid to advanced skill.
Special Skills He can pick a pair of stasis cuffs in ten seconds flat. He's also an expert fighter pilot and trained under Starscream on matter of applied temporal physics and is an authority on aeronautics, aerodynamics, and Cybertornian space-capable ships.
