Because I'm having a hell of a time deciding between about six characters and I dunno who'd fit in best. >> HALP, OH CBOXIANS.
Option A: Stratosphere
Decepticon medic/psychologist, more comfortable fixing minds than fixing bodies. Totally unflappable, says exactly what he feels needs to be said and nothing more, something of a steadying or calming presence- 'the eye of the storm'. Not as devoted to the cause as he could be, but believes in it strongly enough to keep patching everyone up after fights. A repository of random facts- historian/possible priest of Primus pre-war, allied and trained because he wanted to live to see the end of the war. Faith means a lot to him for all that he's fairly quiet about it.
Option B: Pierce
See above, except make him an Autobot, *definitely* an ex-priest, and more willing to make idle chit-chat.
Option C: Burn
A 'Choose your own adventure' in mech form. Burn used to be a 'Con, then was implicated in one too many friendly-fire incidents and got turned over to Airachnid to be 'fixed'. She took it one step too far and wound up destroying his memory. Burn has no conscious memory of his role in the war, nor can his memories be regained. (He doesn't particularly want them back to begin with.) His allegiance, overarching personality and direction would all be decided through play.
Option D: Nightside
'Anything you can build, I can build weirder.' Neutralist engineer/systems analyst. Can McGuyver his way into or out of just about anything, but is totally clueless when it comes to actual combat. He's survived by bartering information, technology and gadgetry and by running very, very fast. Extraordinarily strong stomach, not at all opposed to poking through battlefields to find useful bits and bobs among the dead. Tries to be moral/good but struggles with the concept at large; his moral compass doesn't quite point true north. Off-the-wall sense of humor that crops up at the most bizarre of times and often lands square in 'gallows humor' territory.
Option E: Erin McKenna
Human female, possible Mythbuster intern, apprentice engineer and 'explosives artist'. Possibly the most overexuberant and gleefully ignorant-to-her-own-safety person to ever crawl out of the gene pool. Infamous for popping up where she's least expected and most not supposed to be. Cheerful, outgoing, fairly intelligent, world's most snarktastic sense of humor, ridiculously excited to find out that ALIENS ARE REAL GUISE. Wants to know, experience and do everything at least once or twice over the course of her life, including get in the middle of an alien war.
