We are a literate, intermediate to advanced AU Transformers RPG Based off of the first season of TFP with dashes of other incarnations sprinkled here or there. Characters from any continuity are welcome however must be restyled to match the TFPrime universe.
Active, with ongoing plotlines, we are always willing to integrate new characters into storylines once incorporated into the setting.
Alrighty, plenty of us have wondered or thought out what our characters sound like so here you can post what they sound like as well as a link to an actor or whoever you think sounds right for your character. If you have no link or person just give as good a description as possible.
Here goes my group. -------------------------- League- www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aI9QfPnj5I Very similar to Batou here, perhaps just a smidgen more gravely.
Acid Storm- www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M0krEgHAJQ The guy who first walks in there is Mcgee. Yeah, his sarcastic deflecting nature lends a bit to Cid's voice.
Reflector- www.youtube.com/watch?v=Piu4MmuMqgA The little geeky looking guy in the brown suite and glasses. Jimmy is from the same show as Mcgee and his timid, naive inflections and tone make a good Reflector in my mind, perhaps he could sound just a little younger, but other then that good.
Alrighty people, the flood gates are open, show us who your characters sound like.
Ironhide is a collaboration of his G1 southern-ish accent superimposed over Jess Harnell who voiced Ironhide in the bay!movies - heavy accent, deep voice. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhQUJPUXYCA (very first bit, very last bit - only vid I could find with both voices in it.) (Actually, another good match would be Edward James Olmos, aka Admiral William Adama from BSG. Gravelly and deep.)
Steeljaw is the bastard vocal lovechild of Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman. (His only excuse is having watched a lot of BBC over the internet while stuck in the rainforest.)
Downforce - after wracking my brain, I think we have to go back to BSG again - Alessandro Juliani, aka Lt. Felix Gaeta. (.........who has TF cred as he voiced Nightscream in Beast Machines, LOL! I didn't know that, thank you IMDB...)
Mm. Took some time, this did, because I don't always make a character with a voice in mind. Well, here they are:
Shockwave is, of course, Corey Burton, more like TFA than G1, though. For TF:Prime, I imagine his voice clearer (not quite so filtered) and a little colder; not void of emotion, but more subtle with it.
For Jeff, I imagine he sounds like Sp00n but he freaks out when he's really really creeped out kind like this poor guy.
As for Skydive, it took a lot of searching, but I've settled on Jake Gyllenhall. I like how his voice isn't bass-y or deep; soft, but not wimpy. Furthermore, his composure and manner in interviews reminds me of a more extroverted Skydive. So yeah!
I liked Nightscream. lol

As this is how this thread came about I figured Gasket would be well served by putting his voice actor here.
Gasket: I can think of no one better for such a deep, booming, yet at the same time kind voice for this bot better than the voice talents of the one and only James Earl Jones. His and Barry White's are the two deepest yet melodious voices that I can think of.
I suppose he needs something of an accent and there is no one like those two mentioned above with an accent like that. So, think of James Earl Jones speaking with the accent of Stephen Fry and you are as close as I can get.
Legion's accent is a bastardized mishmash of deep Southern, Irish, Scottish and West African, so I've yet to find a human analogue for it. Voicewise, though, he sounds like Adam Turla's lower octaves. (Something like this.)
Shearwind, my as-yet-unapped gender-apathetic aerialist, was an absolute nightmare to find a voice for. The closest I could get was Vienna Teng, and even she's just a touch too feminine. This was about as close to hir mind-voice as I could find.
Moonshot, in true Moonshot/afthead fashion, decided he wasn't going to tell me who he sounded like. ~~ MORE ON THAT LATER. When he isn't being a jerk.
Ok, after long long search, i finally made to find something i think matches Arma's voice, might be somewhere like this, Or then like this I think they sound pretty same, but cannot really say which one might be better for her. Shade and Warcry, still searching.
