-Character Info-
Name: Elita-One
Age (or human equivalent): Mid 40s/older but not curmudgeonly
Gender (or human equivalent): Femme
Species: Cybertronian
Faction: Order of Solus Prime, allied to the Prime but not technically Autobot
Occupation/Specialization: Warrior, strategist, leader of the Order of Solus Prime
Appearance/Altmode: Ivory and deep pink Kia KND-4 SUV; transformed, she's about Ironhide's height (not counting her five-pointed helm crest), lean and long-limbed with flared shoulder guards, a segmented back piece, and side vents on her powerful thighs. She has a narrow face and large, almond-shaped optics. She is sleek, her armor compact to give her room to swing her hammer, and her arms, sides of her hips, and collar fairing are textured with prayer-sequences and the symbol of her Order. Over her chest, there is a grill that is shaped like a sleeker version of the Matrix of Leadership.
History: Elita was sparked into the Order of Solus Prime, an all-femme religious company of warriors, smiths, and teachers who fought and advocated for social justice all over Cybertron. Together with her sisters, she defended the weak, repaired the broken, and spoke for the voiceless. Early on, Elita discovered a talent for war, and rose quickly through the ranks of the Order as a battle commander.
It was a busy time for the Order: the old social structures were beginning to crumble, unrest was breaking out all over, and the Council's response left much to be desired. The sisters faced pressure from Zeta Prime and his Council to use their fighters and weaponsmiths to quell the unrest in favor of the ruling caste. Some of the sisters heeded the call for change and left their Order to rally behind a charismatic gladiator, but Elita stayed behind, feeling her loyalty to Primus and Solus Prime came first. There was no shortage of work for her band, in any case; more and more, she found herself facing off against Council Enforcers as often as unscrupulous mechs from Cybertron's dark underbelly, protecting ordinary citizens from their predations. By the time Elita was sworn in as the head of her order, war loomed on the horizon.
Elita, unimpressed by either Megatron or the librarian-turned-Prime, refused to take either of their brands, but in her attempts to protect civilians caught in the crossfire, she found herself working more and more in tandem with Optimus, and becoming more and more repulsed by Megatron. With the Prime's cooperation, the Order succeeded in limiting civilian casualties, for a while. But over time the madness of civil war overtook her world, and Elita found that she could no longer stem the tide of destruction.
It was then that Elita-One was asked to guide Orion Pax to the core of Cybertron, as only masters of the Order knew the way. She was there when Orion reached the deity at the center of their planet, and bore witness as he was chosen by the Matrix to become the next true Prime. .....Much to her initial consernation.
As the neutrals fled Cybertron and the Autobots and Decepticons seemed ready to engage in a long and brutal war of attrition, Elita shifted her focus. She began to take more active roles in battle and work more and more closely with Optimus Prime, and the two developed a strong respect for each other, which bloomed into a friendship. They parted company during the final exodus from Cybertron, Optimus to chase down Megatron and hopefully bring the war to an end, Elita to assist and defend the various colonies of survivors scattered throughout space. Her Order sisters wander the stars at her command, doing what they have always done: defending, teaching, and supporting. Elita comes to Earth to meet with Optimus Prime and to review the planet that has become the new front line in Cybertron's civil war.
Personality: Elita-One strikes people as calm and even-tempered at first glance; a second will reveal her intelligence and intensity. She thinks before she acts, but when she commits to an action she follows it through with her whole spark. Elita is forthright, even blunt sometimes despite her formal speech, but not often cruel even to her enemies - she simply values honesty over politeness. She is a sparked mentor as well as a warrior, and often reacts maternally towards younger or more timid bots. Elita and Optimus share a deep friendship, and Elita is not afraid to contradict him, argue with him, or indeed thwap him over the helm if necessary.
Likes: order, justice, honor, faith, giving the Prime slag
Dislikes: people who abuse their power or hurt those weaker than themselves, collateral damage, lack of discipline
Strengths/Weapons: War hammer, in honor of her patron, the legendary forgemaster Solus Prime - technically, it's supposed to be ceremonial, but Elita's is fully battle-capable and she's nearly unstoppable with it in her hands; hand blaster, deceptively powerful for its size; and a withering Mom Look known to break the stoutest sparks. She's also a fiercely competent hand-to-hand fighter, and stronger than her lean frame would suggest.
Weaknesses: Although Elita does not hesitate to enter battle when necessary, she tends to err on the side of 'protecting civilians' and will withdraw if a battle would put them in danger, even if it would cost her an advantage. Physically, she is quite sturdy, but not invulnerable - she doesn't have the armor of, for example, Ironhide, who is in her height class. Her helm crest is a sensory apparatus, and a few good shots to the head can blind or incapacitate her.
Special skills (that are not weapon related): Elita-One is a walking encyclopedia of religious texts, as well as the historical contexts that gave them birth, and given a willing (or captive) audience she will happily instruct for hours on them. She is also a capable teacher of more martial skills, from hand-to-hand combat to long-range weapons. She can also make weapons, though mostly the melee kind - she's not an engineer.
Extra Info: Elita-One is traveling with Hot Rod, who acts as her assistant and extra pair of optics - though Elita considers this to be more for Hot Rod's benefit than her own.
