Name: Hot Rod
Age (or human equivalent): Varying between fourteen and eighteen, depending on who she's trying to impress
Gender (or human equivalent): Femme
Species: Cybertronian
Faction: Order of Solus Prime, allied with Optimus Prime but not technically Autobot
Occupation/Specialization: Scout/fighter/standard bearer
Appearance/Altmode: Red 2007 Lotus Elise R with yellow flame markings over the hood and sides; transformed, she's a bit shorter than Bumblebee's height and built slighter. Her flame decal sits over her chest in robot mode, with her Solus sigil in the middle. Her helm is has a stylized swept-back look and a forehelm vent; it juts out in front to shade her eyes. Her back bumper comes up over her shoulders in a pair of sharply upswept 'wings', which are bright yellow on the inside. She carries her wheels on her forearms and the sides of her lower legs; her forearms also sport chrome piping over the tops, which reinforce the structure but serve no other purpose.
History: Hot Rod was built at the height of the war, one of the last sparked before the loss of the Allspark. She was a built racer, and enjoyed her work, but longed for a greater purpose than going around in circles for the entertainment of the (dying, though she didn't know it then) elite classes. Though she'd been kept ignorant of the outside world, Hot Rod knew her destiny lay beyond the racing compound, and managed to run away.
She acted none too soon. Before her handlers could track her down, the Decepticons razed the entire complex to the ground.
It was the worst possible time to be homeless and naive in Iacon; Hot Rod recieved a harsh education, and struggled to survive until by chance she found members of the Order of Solus Prime. More accurately, they found her, brought her home with them, and taught her all about their mission to defend those who could not defend themselves. To no one's surprise, Hot Rod was entranced, and entered the Order as a novice soon thereafter, determined to follow their mission and help the weak and abused of Cybertron, just as the Order had done for her.
Hot Rod's tenure in the Order has been... tumultuous. Her record is riddled with disciplinary actions, she's no more than passable at weapons-forging and she lacks focus off the battlefield. Yet her spirit, tenacity, and kind spark has caught the attention of the leader of the Order, Elita-One, and so Hot Rod has been granted the honor of being her traveling companion on her journey to Earth. Elita hopes to further nurture the potential she sees in the young warrior; Hot Rod is thrilled to be going to a planet full of alien life to befriend and protect, to say nothing of the Autobots and Optimus Prime, on whom she has developed a bit of a hero-worship/crush.
Personality: If you could put Hot Rod's energy in a bottle, you could re-power Cybertron. She's always on the move, showing off, asking questions, practicing with her bow or shadowboxing. She can be a bit prickly in the manner of sensitive young ones, but she's as quick to make a friend as she is quick to anger, and those she considers friends enjoy her unshakable loyalty. Hot Rod's protectiveness streak runs as deep as Elita-One's, even if she doesn't always channel it as effectively, and she will willingly put herself in harm's way for the sake of total strangers as well as her friends and comrades.
Likes: speed, fighting, being helpful, attention, Going To New Planets, Meeting Interesting People, And Protecting Them!
Dislikes: holding still, being lectured, disappointing people she respects, the bad kind of attention
Strengths/Weapons: Energy bow, capable of penetrating most grades of armor (Megatron would describe it as 'it stings a little'); it's much more effective if she can aim it at optics or other weak points, which she usually remembers to do. Skilled at hand-to-hand, and has an acrobat's agility and jumping ability. You can try to grab her in close quarters to negate this, but good luck. Hot Rod is a risk-taker, often finding crazy tactics for common problems, which can help her snatch victory out of an unsuspecting enemy's hands - when it doesn't backfire on her.
Weaknesses: Being built for speed and agility means being lightly armored, a fact that seems to have escaped Hot Rod in basic training. She's easily goaded into fights with mechs several times her size, and if her agility fails her it only takes a few hits to put her on the ground. As stated before, Hot Rod is a risk-taker in general, which can either help or hinder her. She's easily distractable and doesn't have the patience to sit through lectures or monitor duty, to name two of the banes of her existence.
Special skills (that are not weapon related): Hot Rod is a built and programmed racer: blazingly fast, lightning reflexes, and a quick thinker. She's actually more intelligent than most people give her credit for. She's also a budding field medic - she can do patch jobs or limb reattachments quickly, and for more serious wounds, she can usually keep spark and body together until a more highly-trained medic takes over.
