((For Warcry. Post came out longer than expected.))
Amidst the bright blue skies and puffy white clouds of the Mexican desert was what some would consider an unusual sight: a giant fireball. The large flaming mass that was plummeting to the ground wasn't an asteroid, but a small ship of non-human creation that was housing a rather annoyed Cybertronian. The Autobot at the controls wasn't a flier, or particularly trained at piloting a craft during planet entry, but was confident in his abilities. He had been in much worse conditions and survived, there was no reason for him to think otherwise for this point in time.
From inside the cockpit a multitude of lights were flashing brightly, alarms were blaring loudly, the ship was shaking violently, and the ground was coming up very quickly. In the middle of it all was the Dinobot leader laying on his belly and mashing his large hands against the control panel of the small scout ship. Needless to say he was not in the greatest of moods, but when was he ever? "Why you no slowdown stupid ship! Me Grimlock say SLOW DOWN!" Grimlock roared in anger before smashing the control panel with one hand, and ripping out the control stick with another. When his optics saw the damage he created he flew into a rage, smashing everything he could with his fists while roaring unintelligibly.
The small craft slammed into the desert at full speed, carving a long and deep trench in the ground as it violently decelerated, littering the landing site with debris. When it finally came to a screeching stop everything went suddenly quite aside from the bits of wreckage that managed to stay on fire. The landing could have harmed many a Cybertronian had then not been wearing any safety restraints like Grimlock. Lucky ones would have had injuries, unluckier ones may have been put into stasis to preserve their lives until help could arrive, and the unluckiest would have gone offline. Grimlock wasn't like many Cybertronians though. Grimlock had survived torture and horrors that would have broken lesser bots. Grimlock had been cut open, shot, blown up, set on fire, dropped from orbit, drowned, hosed with acid, everything in between, and everything beyond, and he somehow survived it all. Grimlock is the biggest, and the strongest there is.
The silence was pierced when a fiery-orange blade suddenly erupted through the roof of the small ship. The blade retreated for a second before stabbing outward from a different location accompanied by a grunt of frustration. The energon-sword was stabbed through the ship a few more times before the Dinobot leader was able to make a few long slices and make himself an exit from the burning piece of scrap that was around him. Grimlock let out a feral growl as he climbed out of the wreckage and set foot on Earth's soil for the first time.
Grimlock's optics scanned the area as his sword powered down and collapsed to be stored. He was in an uninhabited arid area with little vegetation, flat land, and the planet's star was high in the sky. If the Autobots or Decepticons hadn't picked up his signal when he was entering the planet's atmosphere, then the Autobot SOS the crashed ship was probably sending out would be noticed. Grimlock stayed in the deep trench his ship had made, crouching to keep his head low. He had come to this planet due to a transmission sent out by Optimus Prime. It didn't matter if it was a trap or not, there would be Decepticons as well. Given the harsh landing he had, and the automated distress beacon, he wouldn't put it past some 'Cons to show up looking for some easy pickings.
Grimlock almost wished that a Decepticon would show up before an Autobot. Someone thinking they've found an easy kill or parts and energon to scavenge, only to be surprised. Grimlock so enjoyed reminding Decepticons that he was still alive. That despite all that had been done to him he still lived. The Dinobots had literally been turned into monsters, and it was a reputation they held on to. Grimlock was forged in a pit of nightmares and haunted the dreams of many Cybertronian. He was what some would tell younglings stories of to get them to behave if the war had ended.
He didn't know it, but the planet he was standing on belongs to the creatures that had inspired his alt-mode. The Tyrannosaurus-Rex had died off millions of years ago leaving only fossils to be remembered by. Now a giant robot version of one that could breathe fire and transform was currently on the planet again. How the planet didn't explode from the awesomeness, no one knows.
