::Yes! Yes, I can do it!:: It was the only answer she could give, stinging from the whip sharp snap of Ironhide's field against hers, the command glyphs summoning the ghost of Labyrinth's voice reminding her any means to reach your objective. She'd done this before; easier targets, to be sure, but in the end Barricade was no recharge-terror, just another murdering Con and she could take pieces out of him from the inside just as easily as the outside.
She didn't hesitate, didn't argue that Cade was talking and there was still a chance they could do this another way, didn't bother to question why Barricade was so slagging eager to have her prying around in his processor, not when she could feel Ironhide's field still hot against her plating. She maxed her defenses and looked up, meeting Ironhide glare for glare. "Keep him occupied," she said flatly, and jacked in.
Shadow released a swarm of virals, distractions while she launched her own attack on the first of his firewalls, antiviral subroutines springing up in answer to his counter attacks. Perfectly normal, challenges and counter challenges, and then the firewall went down and instead of another set of defenses behind it, pure Pit-chaos broke loose.
For an eternity, she balanced on the verge of being overwhelmed, every defense she had at maximum and failing, no way out and no way to break through the white light/white noise (and yes, the screams of her unit were part of it all, she could pick each of them out and some tiny corner of her howled with pain and loss) that was shredding its way through to the core of her consciousness.
