Thundercloud raised an eyebrow skeptically at Carbine as he continued to stare up at the ceiling blankly, unmoving despite being prompted--twice now--to get up. He could only guess what was going through the mech’s mind, probably transmissions from Bolo. The two had a bond, a way of communicating between each other that Thundercloud did not entirely understand, having no frame of reference to draw from himself, seeing as he was not a carrier as Carbine was and had never joined with a cassette in his life. He had a basic idea of what was going on, though, and so despite his curiosity, he did not interrupt their ‘conversation’ (if it could really be called that) with probing questions. Instead, he simply stood there, crossed his arms, and tried not to sigh in frustration as he joined Carbine in starting up at the ceiling.
After a few moments, the mech finally spoke, then climbed to his feet in an apparent daze. He seemed...oddly perplexed, as if he didn’t understand what it was Bolo had tried to communicate to him. Puzzled himself by this unusual turn of events, Thunder followed after the ex-cop as he turned to walk towards the place Bolo was hiding, his gait lazy and slow in order to keep him at the same pace as Carbine, who’s shorter legs could not carry him as quickly as his own. It was habit, by now, for him to slow himself down to match the other mech’s stride; he didn’t even need to think about it, it just happened whenever they walked in the same direction together.
Pausing before the machinery Bolo was hidden behind, Thunder spared Carbine a curious glance, silently wondering how the mech was going to retrieve his cassette, before the ex-cop just reached his arm in the gap between the machines and struggled to catch grip on the dog. Thunder tried not to smile to broadly as he watched the mech struggle to retrieve his partner, then keep hold of him as he started to wiggle and bark wildly up at the ceiling, as if it were plastered with Syk.
He tried, but he wasn’t very successful. It was just too amusing not to smile at.
Smirking, Thundercloud turned his optics skyward, trying to see for himself just what it was Bolo was barking at, only to find his vision obstructed by the machinery. Being the straightforward mech that he was, he decided the most obvious solution to this problem was also the best.
Rolling his shoulders to work out any kinks that might have been lingering in his joints, he took hold of the edge of the machine and spared a glance at Carbine, before nodding upward.
“I dunno. Let’s find out.” He replied simply, before pushing the databank over to the side, its weight against the floor causing a loud grating sound to reverberate through the room as he did so.
