The little drone was doing its best to keep up, and was honestly? Managing quite well. It bobbed along at a casual pace, keeping within the acceptable range parameters of the Nemesis, while keeping its little sensors keyed up for when a threat was going to come its way again. It didn't so much as waver on its meager adventure, until Skywarp breached its large personal bubble of comfort. The second Skywarp entered this area, and frankly may have been able to ram into it or even damage it by a close flyby where the cutting wind that followed would do damage, the drone veered off course violently.
It moved shockingly fast for a moment, as the power to its rotors cut instantly permitting it to drop away and back. It bobbed underneath Skywarp before it activated again and started to fly the opposite direction. It was trying to gain as much distance as possible while the jet had to bank and turn.
Meanwhile, Flatline had a change of heart.
He doesn't need to be out here, he doesn't need to witness this. The drone? He saw it working. It worked. He got his validation that it was functional and would do what it needed to do. That was all he needed to render this experiment a success. If Skywarp destroyed it? Whatever. He couldn't blame it on a defective prototype, and it would all be from the fact the brute trashed it and nothing more.
If he did decimate it? Oh well. Flatline COULD make another, granted... he probably wouldn't want to keep stealing the parts out of storage, even if it was all outdated salvage by this point anyway. Skywarp would need to bring back with him the battered corpse of the drone to be rewarded with a new one every week or five. Whatever. He could worry about that later.
Hunkering a bit lower against the ship, as if he could suddenly hold onto its surface better by doing so, Flatline started to make his way back towards the access door that lead to the safety of the structures interior. Each step was careful, calculated, but was also starting to boost his confidence back up and help him shed off the anxiety brought on by the teleport. By moving, he was taking steps back towards normality, taking steps back to a familiar environment that comforted him so at this point.
If he wasn't stopped, if Skywarp didn't notice, he would try to retreat inside and start making his way back towards his lab where he could make notes on today's... occurrence...
