-Character Info-
Name: Dreadheart
Age: A young seasoned mech when he entered into Megatron’s service.
Gender: Mech
Species: Cybertronian Transformer
Faction: Decepticon
Occupation/Specialization: Former Cybertronian Council Honor Guard/ Aerial Combat Specialist
Appearance/Altmode: Dreadheart’s is a Grumman X-29 experimental jet. Crimson is the primary color of his armor and matted black covers the protoform layer underneath. His forward swept wings jut outward from his back (much like Arcee’s) and mini-wings protruded from his shoulder guards on the side. (Altmode base here: www.456fis.org/GRUMMAN_X-29.htm )
History: Dreadheart attended the Cybertronian Military Academy and graduated with highest honors. He served as part of the elite Honor Guard of the Cybertronian Council. Due to his station within the council chambers, he observed the corruption occurring behind closed doors. Realizing the growing discontent in their society, he falls in line with one of the two reformers presented at the Council, the warrior-like Megatronus. Shortly there after, Dreadheart swears allegiance to Megatron for the reforming and restoration of Cybertron’s glory. With the devastation of their homeworld and extending the war to the stars, Dreadheart currently remains station at a distance garrision.
Personality: Dreadheart lives by honor, a warrior at spark; a trait which often separates him from the rest of the Decepticon forces. He is serious about his duty towards those he serves an oath of service to. In battle, he remains calm and leveled-headed in the majority of situations. He’ll pursue his opponents relentless and quite fearless against a skilled or superior fighter. However, Dreadheart will allow an enemy to retreat without harassment if victory is already in Decepticon hands. As a flyer, he must be quick-minded for sudden changes in complex aerial maneuvers and as such is tactically minded on the battlefield. He is unafraid to speak his mind if an objective or plan is unsound, even to Megatron. Dreadheart bares much distain for the cruder ways of many Decepticons and considers them below him. A pious mech, Dreadheart beholds Primus with reverence and as such respects the position of Prime. On the rare occasion Dreadheart is riled up, he will slip into the Cybertronian archaic speech. (I WILL SMITE THEE!)
Likes: engaging a skilled opponent, exploring new terrain, flying at high speeds
Dislikes: Excessive brutality (barbaric), cowards, hearing Primus’s name cursed
Strengths/Weapons:
1. Speed/ Aerial Maneuvers – The sky is Dreadheart’s domain for dog fighting in utilizing complex flight patterns and split-second maneuver changes. Both modes are outfitted with standard seeker null rays. (Specs: www.456fis.org/GRUMMAN_X-29.htm )
2. Close-combat – Though not as fast on the ground, Dreadheart received defense and offensive training at the Cybertronian Military Academy . His weapon of choice is a broadsword and two shorter duel wielding energon daggers.
3. Tactical Analysis – Dreadheart is able to improvise quick revisions should the battle scenario veer away from his original assessment. It also keeps him on his pedes in regards to his more scheming compatriots.
Weaknesses:
1. Wing Vulnerability – A hit to a seeker's wings causes excruciating pain due to the sensitivity of the neuro-sensor nodes and sensor arrays located intermittently throughout the wing structure.
2. Diminutive Fire Power – Dreadheart lacks the raw firepower typically favored by many Decepticons.
3. Techno babble – Unless it pertains to a battle strategy or any of his interests, Dreadheart has little patience for length explanations filled with technical jargon.
Special skills:
Cartography – Dreadheart developed this skill when assigned to a distant garrison and needed an outlet for his restlessness from lack of battle.
Metal Forging – When Dreadheart has the resources and time to focus, he prefers crafting his own weapons.
Extra Info: He carries some regret deep down regarding the direction the Decepticons took that led to Cybertron’s eventual devastation. His reputation on the battlefield has earned him the names “Terror of the Skies” and “The Dreaded Wing Templar’.
