Javelin continued to walk beside him, a little behind, letting him lead the way. She kept her hands clasped behind her back again - it was a simple habit she had. To anyone looking, it might simply look like she was walking at ease. But she kept her fingers lightly touching her bow. It gave her comfort.
She smiled as he spoke about the humans, and when she spoke, it was evident in her voice, "So you have a desire to protect them. That's admirable. I'm not sure how they would feel about you coming along and just scooping them up, of course, but at least your intentions are honorable. And I suppose they've had to be resourceful to get this far. Being so soft and easily injured, if they didn't have a good processor, they wouldn't have survived at all."
Her mind suddenly slipped to MECH, and her smile faltered. She remembered the video shown to her by Soundwave, and the sound of the Vehicon screaming in pain. She suppressed a shudder, taking a quick invent before letting it out again. She still didn't understand why they weren't going after the humans that had declared war against her people on this planet....it was one thing to want to make sure no humans were injured, but at what point did you let your own people get slaughtered?
Javelin shoved those thoughts away, pulling back her field. It wasn't her place to question. Optimus Prime had lead them from slaughter time and again, and she had to trust he knew what was best. She was a soldier scout, and that was that.
She came back to the present, blinking when he asked her if she made things, and she smiled again, her voice warming, "Oh...sort of. I make arrows for my bow from scrap. My bow is actually an energy weapon, but considering the shortage here, I figured it was time to restock my supply of physical arrows. I have the majority of the tools I need, but I need a few heavier ones, to cut up the scrap metal - things like that."
Another smile, "Nightfall. A good name. It's an honor to meet -"
Suddenly, with a skittering clatter, something seemed to tumble out to the floor.
"WHOA!"
For a second, a split second, Javelin literally thought a part of Nightfall had fallen off and fell to the concrete. It was this that kept her from even reaching towards her bow. Her first reaction was to take several steps back, from...whatever fell off poor Nightfall. Her thoughts were hectic for a second.
Nightfall was falling apart.
He was literally falling apart in front -
A split second later, her optics made sense of just what was on the floor before her. This was no body part, but something else. Optics following the lines of the creature, and it's reptillian form, Javelin suddenly realized there was an animal before her.
Still not entirely sure what happened, or what she was expected to do, the femme just stood there, stock still for several seconds, before she started to relax a little, "I..sorry, I had no idea you were a carrier."
