Timeline: Week 1 | Day 2
Wheeljack has arrivedso hold onto your butts, it's gonna be a wild ride
This routine had been one that had played out several times before. The call would go out to the Military Base that he was coming in, he'd give his clearance codes, and whoever was in charge of the hanger bay would open the doors and let Wheeljack drop in... literally. Ever since the Wrecker had arrived to Earth he had been parking the Jackhammer off site from the Omega base. It was sort of a pain if he had work on things since it meant that he had to travel back and forth between the facilities, but in the long run it worked out for the best. The Jackhammer was his baby. If anyone at the base touched any panel on her and messed her up, he'd have to seriously rearrange their face. He didn't know what the humans did when he wasn't around, but from what his cameras and black box told him no one even bothered to so much as poke at her. Whether that was out of smarts or fear of what the Wrecker may do to them if they did didn't matter to him, honestly.
Everyone at the base had seen him challenge Fowler, so it was clear that the human's idea of 'chain of command' didn't phase him much, and if he were to go so far as to get snippy with the base commander, the mosquito wings were definitely fair game. So, for the most part, when he arrived at the base everyone just left him alone to do his own thing.
Once the Jackhammer was safely lowered into place and the bay doors closed overhead, Wheeljack switched off the systems one by one. The yoke pulled out of his grip and tucked into the control panel as he continued to flick off the multiple switches and finally the command code that turned the entire cockpit dark. He slid out of the pilot seat and grabbed up the crate of goodies he had on the floor just behind it, tucking it under his left arm before walking out of the ship through the open rear bay doors. He strolled down the short ramp and went to the left where there was another panel just to the side of the doors. After typing another series of codes, the ramp slid up into the floor space of the ship and the doors closed. Now all sealed up like a Christmas gift, Wheeljack raised his right servo to the side of his helm and haled Omega base.
:: Anyone home? Wheeljack here requesting a groundbridge to Omega base.:: Wheeljack paused as he spotted a familiar face looking at him through the command center overlooking the hanger and narrowed his optics some. :: And you may wanna make it fast, unless you wanna have another angry phone call from baldy here. ::
