The Training Room had been left vacant despite that Skirmisher had known the others in the Garrison had booked the Training Room for their own purposes, or at least that had been what had been on the schedule. In practice the Training Room had been seen as a sore spot that War hadn't treated those that sat idle with any respect -- not that War treated those prepared with respect either. The Praxian had found a lull in his scheduled shifts for once, and had decided to visit the Training Room to see if he could either engage with the others or in failing that commit to a little practice to insure his reflexes hadn't atrophied.
The rotor blades folded at his back had been secured as the Praxian began running himself through a series of moves any Rookie Enforcer had known and that experienced Enforcers used as a warm-up building to more precise movements meant to subdue a Mech or Femme that had refused for any reason to obey the laid down Ordinances and refused to comply to the Enforcers. There had been some Enforcers that had used such techniques to intimidate, terrorize and ultimately dominate others to get their point across, but the Riot Suppressant Unit hadn't been among those. Most of the Enforcers in his Precinct had been honest Meches and Femmes that had simply wanted to carry out a virtually thankless profession and looked forward to returning to their apartments or homes at the end of their Duty-Shifts. Skirmisher had been among a good Company, and it showed.
Running himself through those techniques, the shifting from those elaborate and uncertain choices displayed by the Rookies to the more precise methods with equally deliberate movements of the more experienced had been at first subtle before having become rather abundantly clear to the imagined Perpetrators that seemed to have taken the place of sparring partners. He'd recalled Vault -- his Former Partner -- had instilled in him through lessons learned on the streets of Praxus' districts that a good Enforcer only telegraphed their actions to knock those mega-bullies off guard and only as a distraction. Skirmisher had adopted those teachings rather quickly and though at first it had taken him a great effort to remind himself to not telegraph his actions, those teachings had become less difficult with the passing Cycle. Now, Skirmisher only allowed his movements to be telegraphed if he'd wanted his opponent to have seen it while having set up the ultimate take-down whether through lethal or non-lethal force.
