Nodding at Pipette’s confirmation, Starscream chuckled.
“Well, that makes sense, given the overall uniformity of the Vehicon frames.”
While there were some slight differences between the different types of trooper - in that some could fly, and that others were suited more for menial tasks such as mining - their builds were more or less the same to the point their parts could be interchanged if needed. A catch-all formulation with this candy was clever indeed, and while Starscream wasn’t sure if it’d truly turn the tide in this hopelessly drawn-out war, any advantage - even such a small one as this - was always a blessing.
Another nod, paired with a gentle hum of thought was the only immediate vocal response to the comment about the texture being deliberate - and the basis for that decision. Pre-war delicacies? That was so long ago, now, that he was certain many of them had simply forgotten such things. However, the smack of nostalgia - should she get it right - could be welcome, though he was sure more testing would be required should she be aiming for that particular condition to be met.
Leaning back ever so slightly, his wings would twitch - gently stretching them, though the motion was subtle. Once this had been done, he would return to his normal position as she answered his question - optics on her, listening intently.
“That’s a long time indeed.” he smiled, though wasn’t condescending with his words. No, he sounded impressed, almost.
“Should you be able to start batch production on this with whatever meager supplies this planet can provide, I’m sure we can find ways to support your efforts.”
He wasn’t sure what went into making the candy, however, given she had managed to produce some while here at Blackridge? It couldn’t have been too complicated to gather the necessary reagents. To produce it on a larger scale, however, especially with different formulations depending on frame type and size could prove troublesome - though they had the means to get most anything within reason.
As she spoke again and asked another question, it was then that he would ease into a stand, as a formality more than anything else - shaking his helm.
“No, there is nothing more. As I said before, I appreciate the initiative shown and commend you for your efforts. Should you require anything to aid with this endeavor, I will do what I can to assist. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.”
He wouldn’t move to show her to the door or anything like that, remaining where he stood until she turned to depart, then - and only then - would he sit back down, sliding the datapad across the table and continuing with his work.
