APPEARANCE
Hellion is a diminutive bot, standing between Airachnid and Arcee. Unlike those two however, Hellion’s frame is far bulkier, with a brawny physique. Befitting the hellish imagery invoked by her name, Hellion’s armour is largely black with yellow, orange and red accents, much like a raging fire against a night sky.
Hellion’s most notable trait is the large backpack-like construct formed from much of her alt-mode’s frontal kibble. The backpack itself is split into two large structures that start at the small of Hellion’s back, and reach up to flank either side of her head. In combat, they can extend upwards and then swivel down to rest atop Hellion’s shoulders, converting into twin shoulder cannons.
The remainder of Hellion’s kibble from the front of her alt-mode forms her chestplate, with her Autobot insignia in the centre, while her front wheels each form the parts of her torso where the shoulder joints connect. Hellion’s bulky upper arms are protected by shoulderpads, while her forearms are encased in robust gauntlets. Mounted on the backs of said gauntlets are her Aegis Blasters, which owe their name to their large, shield-like shape.
Hellion’s lower legs are built from the rear of her alt mode, with her rear wheels forming the central structure. Her feet are somewhat large despite her stature, as they enable her to support much of the additional weight she carries and the recoil of her weaponry.
Hellion’s head most notably features a black non-retractable mouthplate that moves up and down when she speaks, though she possesses the ability to lock it in place completely. Her optics are a deep ocean blue, and the top of her head features a reinforced forehead plate.

PERTINENT HISTORY
During the era of Functionism, Hellion’s small size and fast alt-mode earned her a job as a courier, carrying items and messages for the upper classes. Hellion took to the job naturally, working her way up within her caste. At the height of her career, Hellion’s skills were in high demand, delivering for clients who demanded speed, and sometimes even secrecy. She earned her name for her fierce and chaotic driving style, though this name would take a new meaning in the centuries to come.
And yet in spite of her skill and reputation, it came as a surprise that Hellion would soon find herself out of work. As newer, faster bots were both forged and commissioned, Hellion’s employer soon found the femme as an unnecessary expense. Without a job, and more importantly without income, Hellion found herself facing an uncertain future.
Hellion’s luck changed for the better when a bot known as Steelhammer, a kindly gunsmith who had once used her services, sought to hire her again. The forgemaster found himself in need of a dedicated courier, hiring Hellion to transport his materials and wares. The femme accepted, and for a time those were her only duties.
As tensions began to flare between the classes, Steelhammer’s wares were in increasingly higher demand from both sides as they prepared for war. In need of extra hands, he took Hellion on as his apprentice, though the rigid caste system required that the femme’s training remain a secret. He taught her much of what he knew about forging weapons, and with his guidance, Hellion became a talented crafter of a wide portfolio of artillery and armaments - albeit one who never received credit for her work.
The two worked tirelessly to fulfil their orders, with Hellion still working on the side to retrieve materials. As tensions began to flare, Decepticon rioters attempted to break in and loot the shop. With Hellion away gathering materials, Steelhammer alone defended the shop, and by the time the femme returned she found her mentor lying dead in a ransacked store amidst a number of looters he’d taken with him.
This incident prompted Hellion to immediately pledge herself to the Autobot cause, manufacturing weapons for them. But the need for vengeance within the femme burnt hotter than the fires of her forge, and it wasn’t long before she armed herself with weapons of her own design, and entered the fray.
Over the course of the war, Hellion would come to find a love for the chaos of battle. As she evolved into a more brutal soldier, the femme armed herself an increasing amount of her own handcrafted weaponry and became something of a walking arsenal, which caught the eye of the Wreckers. Her performance during one particular battle led them to approach her for recruitment, a battle in which Hellion exhausted all of her firepower to prevent a Decepticon advance through a critical chokepoint, doing so at great cost to her own health, but holding out long enough for reinforcements to arrive. While undergoing repairs, the femme was approached to join the team, something she accepted eagerly.
As part of the Wreckers, Hellion served as both combatant and gunsmith for the group. In engagements, the femme often served as artillery, though her fervour for fighting would also frequently see her getting up close and personal in tighter quarters. When Optimus Prime introduced Ultra Magnus as the leader of the Wreckers, Hellion had few problems with his appointment or following his rules, something that pushed her away from certain members of the group.
Many of the Wreckers went their own separate ways during the exodus, and Hellion was among them. For a time, Hellion and her crew fought the Decepticons on other worlds, but it wasn’t long before what had once been an overcrowded vessel was now manned only by a handful of Autobots. Electing to leave the war behind, what remained of the crew deserted except for Hellion, who felt that she couldn’t give up on the fight. Taking her energon rations and a small, unarmed shuttle that was practically falling apart due to disrepair, Hellion began her journey to Earth.
PERSONALITY
If you were to ask Hellion to summarise herself in one word, that word would be “Fighter”. Millions of years of war have instilled in the femme a taste for the chaos of battle, which is where Hellion finds herself most at home. At range or up close, Hellion lives to fight and constantly pushes herself to fight harder, which made her an ideal candidate for the Wreckers. To those she’s unfamiliar with, Hellion can come across as detached and abrasive, but her close friends know an almost entirely different femme - one who will bear their burdens as though they were her own, and walk into the pit at their side.
Beyond her bloodlust, Hellion is something of a thrillseeker by nature, but one who has at least tamed her thirst for action well enough that it doesn’t often get in her way unless she’s caught up in the heat of the action. She’s eager to get into the thick of things, and always ready to throw herself into the action. As a Wrecker, Hellion isn’t averse to breaking rules, but she’d rather play within or bend the rules than break them.
The other love of Hellion’s life is weaponry. As a trained gunsmith, Hellion possesses an intimate knowledge of a lot of ranged weaponry, but her focus is one that extends beyond professionalism and perhaps into obsession. It’s not unheard of to find the femme discarding her more brusque demeanour as she goes head over heels for some new variety of weapon that she’s never seen before, needling its creator or owner with myriad questions about its construction and design. This feeds into her love for battle, as Hellion is always eager not only to put her own weaponry to the test, but to see the weapons of others in action.
Though her respect can be tough to earn given her tough-as-nails exterior, once gained, it is something that is seldom easy to lose. Bots who earn Hellion’s respect will find in her a steadfast ally, one willing to share their burdens and stand with them through anything. Her detached disposition slips away, replaced with a more kindly bot who some might even consider “chatty”, one who will willingly sacrifice her own happiness and wellbeing just to see a friend smile. At the end of the day, Hellion is a bot with a lot of love to give, but also one who has raised a lot of barriers.
Hellion’s fanaticism for weaponry masks a number of insecurities that she has wrought over her life. Despite being an accomplished courier at the height of her career, Hellion’s brush with unemployment has left her with a deep-seated fear of never quite being enough. Likewise, Steelhammer’s death also took it’s toll on the femme, with the many weapons that she now carries serving to protect her and her loved ones from ever being in such a situation again.

WEAPONS
Aegis Blasters
Submachine Guns
Affixed to Hellion’s forearms, the Aegis Blasters owe their name to their large, shield-like shape, though despite their name and appearance, these guns do not actually afford Hellion any additional protection. As energy submachine guns, they are optimized for close to medium range, boasting a high fire rate in trade for strong recoil and the risk of overheating. Up close and personal, they pack enough of a punch to puncture medium armour with sustained fire pummeling the same region, though lose effectiveness and accuracy the further away the opponent is, becoming more ideal for suppressive fire than dealing actual damage at distances of mid-range and further.
Because of their rapid fire rate, the Aegis Blasters suffer from drawbacks such as inaccuracy and high recoil. They are also prone to overheating quickly under sustained use, though cool off fast too. As such, Hellion often favours using only one Aegis Blaster at a time, covering the cooling period of one by letting loose with the other. In scenarios where Hellion uses both at the same time, she can dish out some serious damage up close if she can manage the rampant recoil and spread, but will then quickly find herself without either weapon available for a brief period.
Steelhammers
Shoulder Cannons
The twin constructs on Hellion’s back that form her “backpack” are able to slide upwards past the femme’s shoulders and then swing downards to rest upon them, transforming into a pair of shoulder cannons. Named in honour of Hellion’s mentor, the Steelhammers possess high power, with their shells able to damage heavy armour. The unfortunate drawback to this advantage is that each Steelhammer can only fire three shots (for a total of six), before needing to return to Hellion’s back to reload for approximately six seconds. The Steelhammers are twin-linked, meaning that for Hellion to use them, both of them must be in firing position.
When in use, the shoulder cannons are greatly lacking in the way of articulation, requiring Hellion to aim them by pivoting her torso. Though not often a problem given that she is often already looking at her target, they also pose an additional hindrance in that Hellion cannot see much to either side of her while they are in use. Due to their powerful payload, the Steelhammers have high recoil, especially when Hellion is discharging all six shots in rapid succession. This requires the femme to steady her footing lest she throw herself to the ground, and makes moving while firing the Steelhammers a difficult task. As they use physical ammunition in the form of mortar shells, Hellion is only able to carry approximately 18 into battle, before needing to return to base.
STRENGTHS
Walking Armoury
Physical Strength
Hellion, despite her size, is best described as an arsenal on legs. Her weapons include an Aegis Blaster attached to each forearm and the Steelhammer Cannons mounted on her shoulders. These myriad weapons provide Hellion with a powerful arsenal, making her a force to be reckoned with at any range.
Armour
Physical Strength
Hellion’s frame is encased mostly in medium grade armour, though her upper arms, thighs, abdomen and joints leverage light plating to allow her to move more freely. Unfortunately, Hellion’s construction means that a lot of her more reinforced armour ends up on her back.
The Little Car that Could
Physical Strength
Before the Great War, Hellion found employment as a courier, transporting goods. She was extremely adept at her job, which meant not only being fast, but also knowing a few tricks. In her alt-mode, Hellion is highly mobile and evasive, and though perhaps not as fast as some other bots, Hellion’s driving skills make her a rather slippery target.
All-Out Attack
Physical Strength
Though Hellion often opts to use the Aegis Blasters and Steelhammers separately, when used in concert she becomes capable of dishing out some serious damage. This is not without its flaws however. The incredible recoil of using all of her weapons at once requires Hellion to steady herself and lock down parts of her frame, slowing her movement to an extremely slow advance or being completely stationary, lest she knock herself over. Likewise, though the power that an All-Out Attack provides is staggering, once it’s complete it leaves the femme with the Steelhammers needing to reload and the Aegis Blasters overheated.
Adaptable
Mental Strength
Hellion’s training and many armaments make her someone who can readily change up her approach on the battlefield. Though not a tactical genius, Hellion knows well enough about weapons and battle strategy that she knows when and how best to approach a fight. That said, Hellion would rather take orders than lead.
110%
Mental Strength
Fueled by a constant need to push and improve herself, Hellion is never one to back down or phone it in. She’s always ready and willing to try her best, be it on the battlefield or behind a forge, though this drive can come back to bite her if Hellion feels that she didn’t try or that her best wasn’t enough.
WEAKNESSES
On Cooldown
Physical Flaw
Hellion stores all of her gear the old fashioned way, carrying a limited supply of ammunition on her person. The femme only carries enough ammunition for 18 shots with the Steelhammers, and can only fire off 3 shells from each cannon before needing to reload. As such, Hellion often relies on her Aegis Blasters, which also run the risk of overheating if she gets overzealous, leaving Hellion without any weaponry at all.
Glass Arsenal
Physical Flaw
Given her size and the nature of her alt-mode, Hellion finds herself lacking in the armour department, bearing a mixture of standard and light armour. And yet, due to her many weapons, she is also unagile in robot mode. This leaves Hellion in a difficult position, where she has to rely on her heavy artillery and combat prowess to avoid taking too much punishment. Furthermore, the Aegis Blasters are only really effective at short ranges, requiring her to get up close, and if she were to unleash her full arsenal at once, she would become a sitting duck in close quarters with her foes, unable to escape.
Glacial Gunner
Physical Flaw
Hellion’s many munitions come at a cost to her mobility. Though her frame remains the same scale it was when she was forged, her mass has not. In robot mode, Hellion is fairly slow, and so she relies on her alt-mode to move around quickly. However, she cannot fight or use her weapons in alt-mode, meaning that in combat Hellion is generally quite sluggish.
Furthermore, her heavier artillery such as the Steelhammers demand Hellion to have a strong, steady footing lest she lose accuracy or even knock herself over from the recoil, which makes firing them while moving an arduous task. When using both the Steelhammers and the Aegis Blasters together in concert, the incredible recoil from all four weapons means that Hellion’s movement is restricted to an extremely slow advance, or complete immobility, lest the femme send herself flying backwards.
Have you seen my Backpack?
Physical Flaw
Hellion’s large backpack, and the munitions stored both in and on it, gives her back quite a bit of mass. Though not usually an encumberment, it makes it no difficult feat to tip Hellion onto her back, where she may struggle to get back up again.
Tunnel Vision
Physical Flaw
While her shoulder cannons are in use, Hellion’s peripheral vision is greatly limited due to the large cannons sitting on either shoulder. Though these weapons grant her an increase in firepower, their use leaves Hellion vulnerable to ambushes from the sides.
Over the Line
Mental Flaw
Sometimes the heat of battle can overwhelm Hellion, and she’ll lose herself to the thrill of the action. When this happens, Hellion has a tendency to act without regard for her own wellbeing, pushing herself farther than she can get herself out of. In times like this, Hellion may forgo pacing shots with the Aegis Blasters, which can ultimately backfire as their inaccuracy increases and they potentially overheat. Coupled with her insecurities and her drive to push herself, the result can be a self-perpetuating loop of reckless behaviour that can spew even off of the battlefield.
Distant
Mental Flaw
Hellion’s cold demeanour makes it hard for her to make friends. She demands that her allies earn her respect, and she’s otherwise dismissive of those who haven’t. As such, Hellion struggles to work in groups, and though she’ll do as she’s told most of the time, her lack of bonds with others can lead to problems with unit cohesion.
I’ll be Fine
Mental Flaw
Hellion has a tendency to look out for others, but not herself. Whether engrossed in a task or beating herself up for a failure, there are times where Hellion will neglect herself both physically and mentally. This can lead to problems such as injuries going unaddressed, or running dangerously low on Energon in cases where she forgoes recharging.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Gun Geek
Gunsmith
Hellion has been a Gunsmith for many years, trained to a high standard before the war by her mentor Steelhammer. Since the war’s outbreak, the femme has continued to work in this role, and quite a few armaments among the Autobot forces can be traced back to her, though Hellion’s speciality was in bespoke, custom weaponry, as opposed to mass-manufacture on the scale of the weapon foundries. After becoming a Wrecker, Hellion also helped to provide many of them with specifically crafted custom munitions. As such, Hellion has a high degree of experience in the field, not only able to craft weapons of a grand quality, but also able to identify weapons and their mechanisms even in the heat of battle.
