It had been a long hard clean up effort for Acid Storm, but after he got the drones to help him with the lab, with some threats from Jetfire the Eradicons preformed their job flawlessly...or at least good enough. Acid Storm didn't care, all he really had to do was hook up a few more monitors and piece together a new computer and he was in business once more. He could work without any real tables for a while, but thankfully the chair had been spared from both the Autobot bombs and the acid rain.
The Seeker was on his knees, hunched over a mass of wires, motherboards and other seemingly endless computer bits. The computer itself was massive, taking up the center of the lab it clearly had quite a bit of processing power and would be every bit as useful as Acid Storm's last set up. Crawling up into an open panel the flier used a soldering tool to bind together bits of tiny metals as he completed the chassis of the massive machine and get everything back on track. It wouldn't take but two or three days with a bot who knew what they were doing, but Acid Storm had only a basic understanding of computer repair and was lumbering along at a slow pace, it would be nearly a week before his computer was even able to spark, let alone get some real work done.

The door to the chemical lab slid open, a metallic tapping filled the room as Slipstream's stiletto feet brought her to the next stop on her self-guided tour. The femme looked around and noticed the green Decepticon hunched over and proceeded to see if they needed assistance. "Do you need an extra pair of servos?" she asked.

Muttering a little to himself, Acid Storm was so fixated on his work that he never knew someone else was in his lab, let alone standing behind him. With a grunt of shock the Seeker raised his head and hit it on one of the panels of the computer, making a loud metal 'klong!' which was soon followed by a curse and further muttering of threats entailing rusting Primus from the inside out when he finally visited the after-life.
Slowly and with a bit of effort , Acid Storm managed to pull himself back and sit up on his knees, sporting a new scrape on his forehead. The bot then stood up and turned about, welding torch still in hand as he faced a flier he didn't know. The bot seemed familiar though, then near the end of the war Acid Storm had been forced out of the labs and into the air for the final assaults on the Autobots, so it was likely he had spotted the other Seeker during that chaotic time.
With a slight huff his neon green optics locked onto the new-metal "Why do you desire to help? Are you some sort of computer expert? Have a background in mechanics? Or is this merely poke fun at the chemist day?" his voice was loaded with venom and sarcasm so thick he might as well thrown it at the new bot and knocked her block off.

"What...?! No, I was genuinely offering my assistance. I'm... just not a computer expert. Sorry for wasting your time." she frowned, walking off to explore the rest of the lab.
Several hundred kliks passed and she looked back over at the other Decepticon. "Are... you a Seeker?"

Placing the torch down beside his computer and crossing his arms as soon as his servos were free, Acid Storm knew he wasn't going to get much done with a looky-loo wandering about his slapped together lab. Soon enough she did indeed ask a question, one that made the mech wonder if perhaps going back to banging his head on the computer was the better choice. "Yes, I am a Seeker." He stated bluntly before debating whether or not he should give his name out before finding her's. "My name is Acid Storm." And with that he continued to keep his arms crossed and follow his guest's every movement, fully expecting her to somehow further break his half-repaired lab. If she didn't, Acid Storm would be shocked and amazed, for once a bot not out to make his life harder, at least for the moment that is.

"I'm Slipstream, a captain. What is your purpose here on the Nemesis, Acid Storm?" she inquired politely as she continued to look around, not touching a single tool or chemical vial. She knew the dangers of a chem lab without being purposed for it and decided to look upon Acid Storm's current endeavor, placing her claws behind her back. Her deep purple optics scanned over the bits and bolts strewn about the floor around it.
Is this one mech truly able to finish this project on his own...? She thought as her wings twitched a bit as she pondered the thought.

"Lately it seems I'm just a janitor." The mech stated with a small sigh, he was tempted to just leave it at that, but he had a sinking feeling it would only lead to more questions and a distinct paranoia when he learned of teh femme's rank. "I am a chemist, though the other realms of science are not unknown to me." He then glanced down at the glass like structure in his chest, showing a small ocean of acid around his spark chamber "I specialize in acids and dabble a bit in rust." he stated before tapping the glass, making a loud ting sound. Now this was highly amusing to do when there were Eradicons around, it made the drones run around in a mad panic, it was one of teh few things Acid Storm could laugh at.

Slipstream jumped slightly from the action, venting in relief from nothing happening. "A chemist, hm? How long have you been on the Nemesis?" Despite the strange sense of humor, she could picture Adcid Storm to be a valuable ally in the near future.

"I have been part of the crew since we left Cybertron, but until lately I was not working." He stated slowly, still feeling a little uneasy with how natural all of this seemed to Silpstream. Acid Storm missed the old days of Shockwave, who couldn't care less what his lackeys were doing as long as it didn't get in the way of his experiments.

Slipstream could tell the chemist was uneasy, and shot him a small, assuring smile. "Relax, I'm trying to get to know my crewmates. It's something my commander taught me back when I joined his squadron after the Great Exodus. I have no desire to push buttons with anyone... Except maybe the grounders who get in my way."

Watching the commander closely, Acid Storm trusted the femme about as far as he could throw her, which considering his light build was about four feet. Her remark about 'grounders' only solidified his accusing optics, it was a common term many fliers used against those unable to lift off from the ground. It was practically a slur in some circles, along with that oh so annoying clucking that almost endlessly poured from those Seekers...it was enough to drive a mech to drink. Acid Storm couldn't stand Seekers, Slipstream was quickly making his list of complaints longer and longer. "I do not need or want to know my 'fellow' Seekers or Decepticons." he stated with a tired sigh "Now, if you please commander, I would very much like to get back to my work." he paused before adding "Do I have your permission in that or do you wish ti sling more questions?"

"I understand, Acid Storm. I will let you go. I enjoyed our little chat." Her smile flashed again, her voice genuine as she began to walk away from the computer. "I'll see you around the ship."
Her heels clicked as she walked to the door which slid open, giving her enough time get a look over at the green framed Decepticon.

((OOC: Shall we stop it here or is there anything else we can do to stretch out the thread?))
The Seeker only gave a small grunt before turning and crouching back down to pick up his torch. He flicked the fire on and then leaned down and crawling back into the depths of the computer. It took a while to find the spot he was working on before he began to solder once more, cursing as he burned a wire clean through.

"You at least seem different than Starscream. Like Commander Dreadwing, you break the mold that Seekers are like. I do want to attempt be better than the others.." she said, placing a claw on her servo.
The voice came again, Acid Storm thought she left or at least figured out that he wanted nothing to do with idle chitchat. There was another heavy klong from the machine before the Seeker pulled himself out and fell backwards, sporting a larger scrape on his head. For just a second Acid Storm's optics glowed with something very close to anger, not quite all the way there yet as the mech was mellow enough that it would take more then that to rile him. However Slipstream was on the fast track to getting quite far up his list, currently she was just below Starscream and Ramjet along with a few other choice Seekers.
Quickly he turned off the torch and reached a hand up to rub the slight crease forming on his head. Then he spoke once more "Commander, if you forgive me for being slightly annoyed, either make up your mind on if you wish to stay or leave and then follow through." the Seeker really couldn't care less which she did, he just wanted to know where that slagging femme was before she snuck up on him again. He wasn't sure if his poor processor could take any more good hits, further he ignored her comment about 'breaking the mold' an odd thing to say to a Seeker when a vast majority shared a very similar body frame.
