-Character Info-
Name: Reflector
Age (or human equivalent): Early 20's
Gender (or human equivalent): Mech/Male
Species: Cybertronian
Faction: Decepticon
Occupation/Specialization: Spy, hacker, blackmailer, Barricade's Wingman and coward
Appearance/Altmode: Reflector transforms into a large zoom lens camera that sits on a tripod. When connected with Barricade he turns into the hood-camera found in most police cars. When separated his head becames a hand held recording camera, his body a wireless router and legs a satellite dish that wouldn't look out of place on the side of a building. When all together in robot mode, Reflector has a very odd body plan. His head looks like a small camera, very box like with a large lens in the front, he lacks any mouth, optics or anything else a Cybertronian normal has for a face-plate. His head is perched on a mass of wires, several of them all wrapped around each other to make a twist mass of a neck. However it is also insanely flexible as Reflector can twist his head completely around or even tire it around itself in a knot. His body is made up of a round breast plate, though the back portion is flat. Reflector's arms and legs are also a mass of wires, though the twisted arms end in fingers seven fingers on each hand that are designed to look like different ports, jacks and connecters. The cords that made up his legs end end rounded cup like feet. Over all Reflector is grey and purple, the purple is mostly on his main body while the grey is on his feet and head, helping each part bled in.
History:
- Reflector was rather young when he enter the great war, he scrambled and scratched for every bit of energon he could find, at times barely getting enough to keep even his small body alive. This was because he was forged by Decepticons and for Decepticons, where power and ambition meant everything. Reflector had neither of these, too timid to do more then follow orders and too weak to refuse them. That is until he learned of the fine art of 'blackmail'. With his new tool Reflector kept just one step ahead of many of the other 'Cons and had more then enough energon. Things were looking up until one bot decided that the spy had outlived his usefulness and tried to scrap the little robot. Reflector managed to split himself into his three components and then send each on different paths, both confusing and stalling his attacker long enough that the bot managed to make it safely out of Decepticon ground.
The little mech then pulled himself together and continued to move away from his former comrades, suspecting that he had been branded a traitor by the bot who attacked him, to cover up the little minicon's vanishing act. For a time he hid out in Autobot turf, using all the skills he had just to eek out a living, at least until he overheard something about a bot leaving the planet. Reflector managed to find out just where the ship was stationed and snuck on board. On finding that it was a medical shuttle the bot broke himself down into his three base bits and then hid in a few spare part bins, hoping he would go unnoticed.
This did not turn out so well. He was found in short order by the medic known as Cleaver, though instead of destroying the little Decepticon she demanded to know why he was there. Under those intimidating optics Reflector spilled his short story. Whether by pity or sympathy the medic decided to take him along for the ride. Cleaver was the first bot Reflector ever trusted and he stayed with her all the way to a small planet called 'Earth'. What they were doing there he had no idea, but he was confident that with the gruff old femme watching over him, Reflector would be just fine. Of course, that was before they stumbled onto something that not many wished to be found...
Personality:
- Reflector is just a little ball of nervous fears, being that Decepticons are infamous for using each other for their own gains, he doesn't trust others easily. He would rather gather more data on you and then tape a recording of you singing Britney Spears and then threaten to shot it to Baricade, if you don't do a little favor for him. The only thing Reflector trusts is a bot's own self interest, passed that he beli9ves everyone is out for his hide and to be fair he's most likely right. Being the little spy he is, Reflector has gained no shortage of hate from Autobot, human and Decpeticon alike, the only thing that saves him is just how useful the little bot can be. If it weren't for this little fact he would have been a nasty oil-stain on the bottom of some mech's foot. Because of his small size and untrusting nature, Reflector is about as cowardly as a bot can get, fleeing in the face of even a token human resistance or the sight of a single Autobot. While it is understandable considering his lack of weapons, it doesn't stop other 'Cons from treating him like a runt, something that doesn't go other well when he goes on the hunt for blackmail material. Another odd fluke that Reflector has is that the little Decepticon seems to be a hopeless romantic, it's a side of him that is very rarely seen due to how Decepticon femmes tend to act. But when this part of him surfaces he can be quite the little charmer and could even be convinced to rise above his more cowardly urges. But of course, these bouts never last long and then Reflector recalls that he can't afford such things and goes back to the jumpy little spy everyone hates.
Likes:
-Being sneaky.
-Staying out of the way of larger bots.
-Having other transformers around to take all the damage as he slips away.
-Hacking things he shouldn't.
-Building up a file of blackmail on every Decepticon he's ever known.
-Using said blackmail to call in favors.
-Asking femmes out, regardless or their or his size.
Dislikes:
-Being small.
-Humans in general, he finds them scary.
-Being called 'cute'.
-Being mistaken for a sparkling.
-Being laughed at by femmes to tend to be much larger.
-Death.
-Being called a coward, even if it is true.
-Other hackers.
-Autobots.
-Decepticons.
-Pretty much anyone who might mock, annoy or bully him.
Strengths/Weapons:
- Reflector's only weapon is the large camera like lens that makes up what would normally be his face-plate. Reflector has a small laser hidden behind the lens and when called for he can flick it on and through the lens be turned into a fist sized(human fist) beam of energy. He can fire this rapidly or continuously. On a human it can rip right through as if there's nothing there, Cybertronians on the other hand just get a light scorch and some melted metal, nothing that can't buff out.
Weaknesses:
- Reflector is tiny and thin, a human could overpower him if they got close enough and all a Cybertronian need to do is put their foot down and the little bot's life is over. Something as simple as a hacksaw in the hands of a human can also be extremely dangerous to Reflector. Reflector knows this and because of it he is quick to flee if there is even a chance of himself being crushed. In short he is a coward and may very well run for cover before his mission if over. When separated Reflector's body and legs are vulnerable to being found by humans if he isn't careful in where he places them.
Special skills (that are not weapon related):
- Though he might be short on weapons, Reflector has a wealth of other abilities to draw on. The most obvious being that he can tape and record video, even sending it wireless to other Decepticons or back to the ship. This makes him quite the spy when he needs to be and unlike Soundwave he is small enough to get inside most buildings, making him better at keeping tabs on important humans. On the other hand, his small size means that most transformers tend to ignore him or not even see him, which makes it very easy for him to collect blackmail material. For such a small robot, he could really cause a lot of damage if he threw his 'weight' around, but instead he just saves such little tidbits of info for keeping his own aft in one piece. Reflector is not only a spy but a dedicated hacker, able to duke it out with either Blaster or Soundwave in the cyber arena, holding his own well enough. He is often brought in as backup since Blaster will be more interested in messing with Soundwave, Reflector can take advantage of their rivalry and get his job finished before the Autobots even notice that he's up and about. His final skill is his strangest, Reflector can separate his head from his body, making use of such nooks not even human children can exploit. When on it's own his head has a pair of insect like wings and six insect legs sticking out of the bottom, which help him move about. In this form is he run up walls and even stick onto ceilings, remaining unseen as he records all that goes on behind closed windows and locked doors. When alone his head can transform into a small handheld camera, a useful disguise if he needs to hide in plain sight. When left on it's own his main body transforms into a wireless router, making sure that Reflector is always able to send his findings back to the Decepticons. In this state his body can roll around on four little wheels, it's controlled by Reflector through the wireless signal. His legs form the third separation on the other hand turn into a small satellite, useful for remote hacking into things if he needs to on the fly. In this state the satellite's dish can whirl around and fly like a small helicopter, it has a very weak taser built into it, enough to know out a full grown human. It's his only real defense in this state. When Reflector has once more resembled his body, he has all these abilities built in.
