Character Info
Name: Starscream
Age: Human equivalent would be thirties
Gender: Male
Species: Cybertronian
Faction: Decepticons
Occupation/Specialization: Air Commander
Appearance/Altmode: Starscream is a tall, gaunt Seeker who tends to stand with a distinct slouch. The wings and stabilizers of his alternate mode jut up from his shoulders, as well as from his lower legs. Each forearm is armed with a missile on the outer rails and taloned fingers. He is predominantly a steel grey in colour, with red accents and red optics.
He transforms into a modified F-16C Falcon.
History: Before the war Starscream was both a scientist and an Air Commander of the Energon Seekers, a wing of Cybertron's best aerial warriors. He dreamed of a way to claim the Matrix of Leadership and return their rigidly hierarchical caste society to its ancient Golden Age. In the rebellious Decepticon faction and their leader, the gladiator-turned-revolutionary Megatron, he believed he had found a means to achieve that goal.
Though he was neutral during the start of the civil war, Starscream swung to the Decepticons shortly after the bombing of Vos. Many of the Vos Seekers followed him, and would come to form the fighting core of the Decepticon army. Thanks to his intelligence, cunning, and manipulative nature Starscream clawed up through their ranks, until he had secured for himself a crucial role within the Decepticon war machine. Eventually he was appointed to Megatron's side as his second-in-command.
These days, Starscream is not content with the power that is delegated to him. He constantly seeks a way to overthrow Megatron and seize control of the Decepticons. Painfully aware that he could never challenge the warlord on a physical level, he bides his time. And plots.
Personality: Treacherous. Standoffish. Narcissistic, foul-tempered. Power-hungry and driven by jealousy. Calculating. Wrathful. Independent. Insecure and unpredictable.
Likes: Power. Respect. Decepticon supremacy. Flying.
Dislikes: Autobots. Earth. Serving a madman. Competition. Failure. Being slighted. Being shot.
Strengths: Starscream works best when he operates through the three ideals that earned him his position as Air Commander of the Decepticon army: lying, manipulation, and deceit. When all else fails, a bit of sabotage never hurts either. He is a devious long-term planner, capable of devising complex schemes against his enemies (and his fellow Decepticons) that might take months or years to weave into completion. Even when his plans fail every retreat is a calculated risk, designed to fulfill a greater purpose.
In combat he is a sadistic pragmatist who uses his speed and superior flying skills to his advantage. Starscream will not be goaded into a fight that might put him in the direct path of harm, preferring instead to exploit the flaws and weaknesses of his opponents. When he does attack it is indirectly, from stealth or from behind, or when it is least expected. He will not hesitate to kill the helpless or unarmed. A dangerously savvy villain, Starscream refuses to play by any rules.
Weaknesses: Starscream's extremely volatile personality means he is not very adept at hiding his true intent. He is prone to panic, cowardice and bombastic gestures. His egotism, vindictive cleverness, and fondness for gloating frequently get him into trouble. His treacherous nature, when exposed, gets him into even more trouble, usually with Megatron himself. Most Decepticons know better than to trust Starscream.
In terms of physical power he is lacking when compared to other Seekers, and relies on cheap shots. He is not a strong close-quarters combatant and will fall back on his long-ranged missiles and integrated cannon in a firefight, or else take to the skies as a jet. His armour is light-grade, not meant to withstand heavy damage.
Special skills: As a second-in-command he is quite competent at managing the fine details of commanding and organizing Megatron's troops.
