The first time that the ping went through, Knock Out expected some sort of vocal follow-up. An explanation as to what was going on, another - hopefully clearer - attempt to ask for some sort of aid.
Only for it to immediately cut out.
Maybe Bladewing truly was in danger, unable to-
It pinged again. This time, it was met with some slight annoyance - that was, until it continued to ping on and off, with every other attempt remaining active. Being a Medic during the war when it was more active on Cybertronian when communications were either broken or dangerously unencrypted, he realized quickly what was going on.
Bladewing actually needed help.
Heavily built Seeker female? Well, that could only mean one person. Both she and Soundwave were working against Starscream? That was unexpected - at least on the part of Coldwind.
The reply was a short one. Time was probably of the essence here - Coldwind was ruthless indeed, and Soundwave was… well, he was terrifying. They both were. If they were acting with intent to offline Bladewing? He probably didn’t have much of a chance at all unless things were put into motion immediately.
Pushing into a stand, the reply would be brief - not wanting to waste precious minutes with conversing in morse code.
“Understood.”
He had absolutely nothing to gain from this - unsure why Bladewing had contacted him for help against two of the - at least he thought - scariest Decepticons currently at Blackridge. While he did not want to incur the wrath of Soundwave or Coldwind, for the sheer sake of laying witness to whatever drama came from this would be worth it alone.
He was just the messenger, after all.
Yet there was a small part of him that didn’t want any harm to come to Bladewing. They’d used resources in fixing him up, he’d been pleasant to talk to - a rarity around here - to offline him simply because he was loyal to Starscream was… concerning. While their current Lord did have those who were loyal to him, did that mean Soundwave would turn against those next?
What about Coldwind? What was her part in this? Wasn’t she one of those who if push came to shove - given her history with the silver Seeker - would probably side with Starscream over Megatron?
He knew he probably would.
It was during these thoughts he’d found himself running - a servo raising to his helm as he attempted to ping Starscream. His comments were hurried, trying to convey the information with as few words as possible - and should he not be clear enough? He was on his way to Starscream’s office to tell him in person with hopefully far more clarity than panic.
It seemed it was not needed, however, the scrambled mess of words had been understood, and the line between CMO and Lord was disconnected.
Coldwind would hear the familiar sound of a comm clicking to life mere moments later.
