Butch didn't say anything. She let the Wrecker talk, expression impassive, silence stolid. When he finished, she patted him on the door. "There, there. You're not being careless. A bit on the curious side, yes, but I wouldn't say careless. If you want, we can go to Vegas another time. I can imagine you have a degree of exhaustion trying to keep up with everything."
If Blurr was finding his focus faltering, and he was being impacted emotionally by the outing, then perhaps it was time to call it quits. Butch didn't want the robot to be overwhelmed by what was supposed to be a learning experience. And if he was used to being flashy? Well, then this was probably an "out of the frying pan and into the fire" scenario for him.
"Tell you what? Why don't we take a nice, quiet route home where you can rev your engine a little bit. The roads to Jasper are good ones once we get out of Vegas. If you still want to go into the Strip, we can, but don't feel pressured that you have to. You're acting respectful of the place you're in, and you've already done a lot today to help out with the base. The groceries we picked up will help feed people, and hopefully provide a little bit of emotional comfort."
The pat on the door, as alien as it felt, wasn’t a bad thing. He understood the gesture and it was honestly nice to have the reassurance.
Perhaps visiting Vegas another time was a better idea, Blurr was starting to worry that it was going to be too much for him. He at least needed to use his holoform a few more times before that trip, then he felt like he’d be ready for more sight seeing and adventures in the human’s cities.
As soon as Cassandra offered a different solution, Blurr seemed to come back to his usual self. Revving his engines? Now she was speaking his language. His holoform reappeared in the driver’s seat and he looked straight ahead with a soft grin before shifting into drive and rolling out of the parking lot.
“It does, Cassandra. I’m honestly not all too sure what I’ve done as far as impact, but if you’re saying I helped, then I believe you, and it does make me feel better.”
Blurr then casted her a side-eyed glance as after he turned out of the parking lot and onto the main road.
“So. Where’s this ‘nice, quiet route’ at? I could go for a bit more excitement, at least it’s familiar to me.”

"Follow the way back that we came into Vegas on," Butch instructed. "Once we get to the middle of it, take a right...."
The "quiet route" turned out to be a lone desert road, dusty and worn. Despite being relegated to use as a side route to Jasper, it was free of traffic, and in relatively good condition. A Cybertronian comparison might've been to a practice track for racing, only better-kept and paved. Butch leaned back in her seat as they drove, seeming content.
"And you should be able to speed up right...about...now," she eventually said. "Go on, rev it up a little. Not too much, obviously, but it's likely no one's going to catch you out here if you go about ten miles past the speed limit. Maybe fifteen." And there, on her face - was that the hint of a conspiratorial grin? It was an emotion unlike any the usually-serious cleaner had emoted so far.
Upon instruction, with the help of Cassandra of course, Blurr took them out and away from the busy city. Despite what had happened earlier, the racer was thankful for the human within his passenger seat. Her patience and willingness made her far too kind, and it put Blurr in a jovial mood.
The speedster’s holoform was still, as if Blurr’s attention was more directed to his actual frame. He was concentrated on the roads and the other humans around him until they reached the open, lone road.
It wasn’t until Cassandra told him to speed up did Blurr’s holoform look over to her with a bit of surprise, however that was quickly replaced with a cheeky grin.
“Tsk, Maybe fifteen? Fine, fine. That is absolutely nothing compared to what I can do, but perhaps I can show you that power at another time.” Blurr hummed in amusement.
He then turned his head back to the road and mischievously eyed the asphalt. She mentioned a speed cap, but… never said anything about his acceleration.
The seatbelt around Cassandra tightened, keeping her pressed up against his passenger seat for her safety, of course.
Suddenly, Blurr rolled to a complete stop where he then revved his engine. Whereas most other car’s engines usually roared and rumbled with power, Blurr’s was different, it was a high pitched whirr, sounding much like the engines of a jet.
Blurr looked excited, his holoform reflecting his passionate emotions. He glanced over to the side of the road, seeing the speed limit was fifty-five… an absolute breeze for him to reach seventy.
“Alright Cassandra, I’m going to show you why they called me Cybertron’s Fastest. Hold on tight!” Blurr exclaimed. That statement was his warning… As soon as those words left his mouth, he took off, easily covering zero to sixty in one point three seconds. The only other sound that left Blurr other than the sounds of his engines was his laughter.
