Timeline: Week 2. Day 5
Ever since his return to the base, he had been... off. Unable to sit still, without the energy to actually do much of anything besides pace around. The new addition of his had a place of honor on one of the shelves in the room he had finally claimed for himself, a small one just down the way from the last inhabitant here- far enough away to be alone, not so much that he was by himself. The door remained open, still not really able to bring himself to stay within a fully enclosed box, and probably never would.
The teen had become restless again with the urge to explore something more than the four corners, three walls, two shelves and one sorry excuse of a recharge slab that made up the half ass decor of this room, his frame needing to move around. That, or risk his processor would turn into a liquid goo and probably drip right out his audials or something just as equally gross.
That was exactly why Roddy found himself in the position he was currently in. He'd decided to go the opposite way of the control room, intentionally wanting to make sure he didn't risk running into anyone ( Prowl in particular, since he'd neither gotten that medical exam nor gotten over wanting to smack him upside the head with a broom ). So with a left turn, right turn, something that felt like a circle, a couple dead ends, he'd ended up in a rather dismal location complete with the full 'D-list Budget Horror Flick' that looked like it was something straight out of an Indie horror game. He was definitely regretting exploring this much more reclusive area of the base immediately after coming across it. It was old, smelled awful, and definitely hadn't been as commonly passed through as some of the other places, so it was no surprise that it was empty here.
"Yes, Roddy, of course no one will be here because no one else is stupid enough to risk life and limb to come here." He rolled his optics at his own thoughts. "So we find our Hero exploring the deep, dark world unexplored by his fellow Autobots. A brave explorer? Of course he is! The risk of catching a horrible disease like the rust plague is at every turn, because if anywhere on Earth looks like it would be the ideal place for that to spread, it would definitely be here." Roddy made a face as he looked around at the chipped corners, the peeling chunks of paint, the... flickering light overhead that definitely didn't seem like it was about to go-
As if Primus himself were getting at Roddy for all the rude things he said about him in the past and jumped at the opportunity to get even, the almost far-too-perfectly timed light that had been dimly illuminating the area he had just turned into suddenly burned out with a loud popping sound.
There was another sound that echoed through the hallway at the same time: a gut-wrenching, blood-curling scream.
